Daily Inspiration: Meet Caylon Allen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caylon Allen.

Hi Caylon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Hello, my great people, I would start by saying It’s been a journey to remember, and an unforgettable story that has so many more exhilarating chapters.

I think my overall journey and path of life is the epitome of resilience in itself!

I started experimenting in the kitchen around 12 years old, just creating random meals to keep me fed, which led to a cool feeling of being able to hold my own without any helping hand. A couple years later I got a chance to work with my uncle, for his catering company at the age of 14 and sort of took a liken to it, and unbeknownst to me that’s where my first initial love of the culinary field sparked. And that’s where my long-awaited journey began

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I faced many uphill battles throughout my life, troubled lost teen, no outlets, no face of voice of reason. Tough upbringing but no innovative installments to set me up for a promising future! So, with that being said I ran into a lot upsets, encountered many hiccups that had me questioning myself as a whole! I had so much god giving unmatched potential but had no idea how to tap into it, I also questioned why God choice me to be this born leader.

Years down the road I truly started embracing my calling, shielded and persevered through each and everything thrown at me, through failed business plans, stolen restaurant equipment, revamping my whole team at the pinnacle of my career, injuries, fickled business partners, bad investments, exonerated life savings for a business deal that lead me to dealings with a crooked partner, running off stealing all finances with no ROI. You name it, it was enough setbacks to tear down the strongest human being! Needless to say, I never threw in the towel, and I kept pushing forward and having faith that no matter what was thrown at me, or what turmoil I experienced, God still had my back and was sculpting/blueprinting a bigger plan larger than I could ever imagine.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I definitely consider myself a risk taker, everyday waking up as a serial entrepreneur is a tremendous risk in itself! But to name one of the biggest risk, I’ve taken thus far has to be the initial decision to become a full-time entrepreneur/ freelance chef 8 years ago. Leaving an executive chef position with substantial pay, benefits, and stability, to truly spread my wings and tap into my full potential and bring my unlimited creativity to fruition. Ultimately wanting to open up avenues and opportunities for young aspiring chefs looking to hone their skills on a limitless platform.
