Daily Inspiration: Meet Celso Almaguer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celso Almaguer.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi my name is Celso Almaguer and I’m 14 years old and will be going to high school this coming school year. I’am Mexican-American because my parents are from Mexico and I was born here in the U.S. which my 6 year old sister. Ever since my early days I have always loved playing soccer at an early age. In these years I have improved a lot in the sport then when I first started playing. Playing soccer has taken me so far in life from being able to play five years with players above my age, to play varsity soccer as just a middle schooler to signing with a new team that is MLS Next called Dallas Hornets, and now my next step, becoming a sports reporter. You may ask how does he get to meet all these players or how does he get to interview all these people/players. When I first started, I was nervous to do it because it was Marco Fabian, an all-time Mexican soccer legend and I didn’t have any questions ready or either the right materials so what I did was grab a blank sheet of paper and use the marker I had and wrote the questions on the blank sheet of paper and did my first interview. Fast forward to where I am now. I have now interviewed the best players and the best coaches and have learned a lot from each interview.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since I am 14 years old and I go to school and play sports usually I cannot attend events which interfere with my sports or school and if I can’t make it or it’s because I am under the age of 18 and can’t do any content or interviews.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My first ever interview was with Marco Fabion in all-time Mexican soccer legend where I interviewed him with a blank sheet of paper and a marker. I have interviewed the best players and the best coaches which include: Jared Borgetti, Luis ‘ El Matador’ Hernandez, Oribe Peralta, Moises Moñuz, Carlos Salcedo, Braulio, Luna, Dillon ‘Vederal Soccer’ Vederal , Malagon, Henry Martin, Jesser, Dr. Simi, Micah, Palace, Alex Rivera,Soccer Dave,Imanol Almaguer, IShowSpeed, Jesse Bam Rodriguez,Ondřej Lingr,Slad Starnes,Benjamin Galindo,Anderson Duarte, and Hugo Sanchez. My recent one was an interview with Aaron Diaz, who is a Mexican Hollywood actor, where I was invited to the PGA headquarters and Frisco, Texas to do a podcast with him. My recent ones have been with Davion ‘ North, Texas, SC new signing” Kinbrough, Kenny, Cooper, and Sergio Goyacheca. My favorite one was when I went to Kroger‘s, and I met Brendan Servania and I asked him if I could interview him, and I interviewed him at a Kroger‘s.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
‘Don’t let anybody make fun of you don’t let anybody stop what you love to do and take every opportunity you get because you never know where that opportunity will get you’
