Today we’d like to introduce you to Dara Whitley.
Hi Dara, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always brought fun into parenting. My family was fun and created these amazing memories that I knew whenever I had children I would want to be the same way. I value the relationship I have with my child, education, and fun in the home. During quarantine, this only grew and I decided to share my crafts, activities, and fun that I share with my son with the world!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been easy, especially as a working mom. I often feel the constant pull between being a mom and giving my son attention and working so I can provide for him. It also can be hard creating content because you find yourself comparing to other content creators on the internet.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I share crafts, yummy treats, mental health activities, and fun around the city! My son’s love language is quality time and I make sure that I make memories that will last forever. I focus on conscious and positive parenting that allows my son to express himself, enjoy life, and grow. When you come to my page I want you to feel a part of our family and get excited about whatever we are going to do because it will be a blast! I have worked with a number of brands and businesses to promote their product and share with my followers the best mommy/kid products and places!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
The joy that I bring to others makes me happy because knowing that I brought a smile to someone’s face or cheered them up when they were low is an amazing feeling. Spending time with family and friends also makes me happy because I can be 100% myself and that’s what I try to create in my home for my son; a place where he can be comfortable and authentically himself.
