Hi Elliott, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
BLAST Media LLC
Founded in 2021 By Elliott Jackson and Troy Saha, BLAST Media LLC has positioned itself to be the top resource for Independent and Unsigned Music Artists, Independent Film Makers, Comedians and Content Creators. Our mission is and always will be to help these entertainers get their art in front of audiences in the United States and throughout the world.
During this time, we created our BLAST platform. This is our music promotion HUB located at blastmusic247.com. Artists are able to create their stage, share their music and videos, communicate with fans, stream music and more. Today, BLAST is pivoting to a full-service streaming platform rivaling Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and others. We are redesigning to meet the demand and the specific needs of the Independent Music Artist, Film Maker, Comedians and other content creators.
We then created BLAST Media Networks. This is where we air up to 20 different podcasts every week that are produced by BLAST Media LLC and present a wide array of hosts and topics. You van find our podcasts on YouTube and other podcast outlets.
Next was BLAST Radio (blastradio247.com). Every music artist that registers with BLAST is put in rotation on BLAST Radio. BLAST Radio 247 is a reporting station, so if the artist is registered with ASCAP or BMI they will receive airplay credit. With no shortage or artists BLAST Radio 247 is The Champion of Independent Music.
Finally in February of 2025 we acquired IndiePulse Music Magazine (indiepulsemusic.com). IndiePulse has been a staple and a beacon championing the Independent Music Artist for over a decade. This acquisition helps solidify BLAST Media LLC as the foremost champions of the Independent Artist. IndiePulse is one of the most respected online publications for Independent Music and Movies.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. Creating and designing platforms to do the things we need them to do is one thing but getting the correct developer to actually bring those things to life is an even bigger challenge. It’s imperative that you find the right developer to not only help create what you, want but one that understands the vision and can bring their ideas to the platform to make it better and have it created on time.
We are continuing to grow and with that comes logistical issues because we can’t be in every city covering everything at all times. We are continuing to figure out what projects to throw our weight behind. This can be difficult to figure out sometimes, but it is a good problem to have.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
When I created BLAST Media LLC all I wanted to do was provide independent music artists with a platform to help them promote and maintain control of their art. The original BLAST site was a gem. It incorporated so many things to help independent artists establish themselves without breaking the bank.
I was a Hip Hop artist back in the 90s and I know how difficult it can be to get get your music out to the masses. BLAST was my way to provide those artist with the resources to promote themselves and their art to the masses. Everything we do at BLAST Media LLC is for the Independent Music Artist but we are now getting more into Independent Movies, Comedians and other entertainers.
What sets BLAST Media LLC apart is our hyper focus on Independent Artist. From our IndiePulsemusic.com., blastradio247.com and our new blastmusic247.com site (being designed now), we want to give Independent Artist and entertainers to the chance to create their own lane. To provide them with streaming and promotion options tailored to them and the fans that want to see and listen to them.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned that it takes a lot of work to ensure that your vision of a company becomes a reality. However, it’s the work that’s put in that make what we do at BLAST Media LLC so rewarding. We are not close to being finished, we have big plans and big ideas.
