Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Mitchell.
Hi Emily, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My background is in construction sales and design consulting for remodel projects. I’ve always loved the process of meeting with homeowners, walking through their goals for their home, solving problems, and helping bring their vision to life. Building relationships and creating trust with customers was always the part of the job that came most naturally to me.
While working in the industry, I realized that although I loved the work itself, I often felt frustrated by the level of customer service homeowners were receiving. Too many companies treated customers like just another sale instead of people making a major investment into their home. Communication, follow-through, and attention to detail were often lacking, and I knew homeowners deserved better.
That experience ultimately pushed me to start my own company. I wanted to create a business where I could ensure that customers were treated the way they should be from start to finish — with honesty, professionalism, transparency, and genuine care for their home and experience.
That mindset became the foundation of Paragon Window Company. We focus not only on providing high-quality products and installation, but also on creating an experience where homeowners feel heard, informed, and confident throughout the entire process.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been fairly smooth overall, and I think a lot of that comes down to planning ahead and being intentional with our decisions. One of the biggest things for us has been carefully vetting installers to make sure the quality of work truly matches the standards we want our company to represent.
Of course, owning a business always comes with challenges. Some obstacles can be avoided through preparation, while others simply come through trial and error and learning as you grow. I would say one of the biggest struggles has been finding reliable partners who can provide credible, quality leads. Building a strong reputation is extremely important to us, so we’ve been very selective about who we align our company with.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Paragon Window Company, we specialize in premium residential window replacement throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We focus on providing homeowners with high-quality products, expert installation, and a customer experience that feels personal, transparent, and trustworthy from start to finish.
Our company is built around three core standards: integrity, service, and precision. We believe homeowners deserve honest communication, attention to detail, and work that is done the right way — not the fastest or cheapest way. We take a lot of pride in educating our customers, listening to their goals for their home, and helping them find solutions that truly fit their needs rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all approach.
What sets us apart is that we are a female-owned company in an industry that is traditionally very male dominated. We bring a different perspective to the customer experience and place a huge emphasis on communication, professionalism, and making homeowners feel comfortable and informed throughout the process. We genuinely care about the people we work with and the homes we work on.
We’re also extremely particular about quality. From the products we offer to the installers we work with, we don’t cut corners. We would rather take extra time to ensure something is done correctly than sacrifice quality for convenience.
What I’m most proud of is the reputation we’re building in our community. We’ve worked hard to create a company that homeowners can trust — not just for beautiful windows, but for honesty, reliability, and service they feel good about recommending to others.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that surprises a lot of people is that I’m actually very artistic and creative outside of business. I think that creativity plays a huge role in why I’m good at what I do.
I also enjoy design consulting on remodel projects, which has given me a strong eye for how windows impact the overall look, lighting, and feel of a home. When homeowners are renovating or replacing windows, they usually have a vision for their space, but sometimes they need help bringing that vision to life. I love helping customers think through design, proportions, natural lighting, grid patterns, and overall aesthetics to create something that feels cohesive and intentional.
I think being creative also helps me problem solve. Every home is different, and there are often unique challenges that require custom or outside-the-box solutions. I enjoy finding ways to combine functionality, efficiency, and beauty in a way that truly fits each homeowner and their style.
