Hi Jhonny, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My passion for barbering started long before I ever picked up a pair of clippers. As a child, I was fascinated by the experience of going to the barbershop. I remember insisting that my mother take me to a barber because even at a young age I cared about how I looked and appreciated the artistry behind a great haircut. Looking back, those early experiences planted the seed for what would later become my life’s passion.
As an immigrant, my journey was not always easy. When I decided to pursue barbering professionally, I had a dream of working in some of the best barbershops and becoming the best barber I could be. Not everyone believed in me at the beginning. Some doors were closed, and some opportunities never came. But I never allowed rejection to define my future.
Thankfully, there were also people who saw potential in me, believed in my talent, and gave me opportunities to grow. Those moments taught me the importance of perseverance, humility, and hard work. Every challenge became motivation to improve my craft and prove to myself that I was capable of achieving more.
What attracted me to barbering was not only the creativity, but also the ability to make a positive impact on people’s lives. A great haircut can transform someone’s confidence, and I realized that this profession allowed me to combine artistry, personal connection, and service.
Over time, that passion became a career and eventually helped inspire the creation of XLOGY Barber Salon in Dallas, Texas. XLOGY reflects the vision, standards, and values that have guided my journey from the very beginning. Today, I am proud of how far that journey has taken me, but I remain focused on growing, perfecting my craft, inspiring the next generation of barbers, and continuing to raise the standard of excellence in our industry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was building a career and helping grow a business from the ground up. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced financial pressures, long hours, and the responsibility of earning clients’ trust every day. There were times when growth was slow, and balancing personal life with professional goals was difficult. Another challenge was learning that not everyone will support your vision, and sometimes the hardest part is staying focused despite outside opinions. Those experiences taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of believing in myself and my goals.

I am a barber, entrepreneur, and the Co-Founder and Operations Director of XLOGY Barber Salon in Dallas, Texas. My passion is helping people look their best while building an experience that goes far beyond a haircut. I specialize in modern men’s grooming, precision fades, beard design, and personalized service that helps every client leave feeling more confident.
What I am most proud of is helping build XLOGY from the ground up into a brand that stands for professionalism, quality, and community. Throughout my career, I have learned that success is not only about technical skill but also about leadership, consistency, and creating meaningful relationships with clients and team members.
What sets me apart is my attention to detail, my commitment to continuous growth, and my genuine passion for serving people. Every client who sits in my chair receives my full focus and effort. My goal is to elevate the barbering profession, inspire the next generation of barbers, and continue growing XLOGY as one of the premier grooming destinations in Texas.

What matters most to me is making a positive impact on the people around me. Whether it is my family, my clients, or the team I work with every day, I believe that success is measured by the difference you make in the lives of others.
I am passionate about helping people build confidence, not only through my work as a barber but also through the relationships I create. A haircut may seem simple, but it can change how someone feels about themselves and how they approach the world.
I also value growth, discipline, and integrity. I believe in constantly improving my skills, staying true to my principles, and leading by example. These values have helped me grow both personally and professionally, and they continue to guide everything I do.
