Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristi Smithson.
Hi Kristi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a fine art painter. Creating is not just something I do, it is part of who I am. It lives within every fiber of my soul. I am endlessly inspired, always imagining new ideas and dreaming up my next project.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Due to the fact that I love what I do, I like to think of setbacks and struggles as opportunities for growth. When challenges arise, I do my best to embrace them as character-building moments. It feels good to look back and appreciate how far I have come and the strength I gained through the experience.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Because of my years of experience in architecture and interior design I know what scale, colors and textures work to make the art stand out and take center stage. Whether you call it a collaboration, a commission, bespoke art, original art, one-of-a-kind, or made-to-order, custom art is deeply personal. I specialize in creating custom fine art pieces thoughtfully designed to fit my clients’ spaces and bring their vision to life.
There is something incredibly special about working together to create a piece that is truly unique, something no one else will ever have. One of my greatest joys is receiving messages from clients sharing photos of my artwork in their spaces. Those moments fill my heart and serve as a beautiful reminder that the connection built through creating art often grows into lasting relationships and future collaborations.
How do you think about luck?
I feel incredibly fortunate to wake up each day with the passion and motivation to create art. I am deeply grateful for the time I have to leave behind a legacy of beautiful creations that I hope will continue to be appreciated long after I am gone.
