Today we’d like to introduce you to Lilli Adelleè.
Hi Lilli, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Kansas City Missouri. I was raised in Los Angeles CA. I am 4 out 5 children on my mothers side but I am the only child from my father. I come from a very big family. I have always been artistic I have always been active my whole life. I grew up dancing on multiple dance teams at once, I was on the international championship team for pop Warner cheerleading. I cheered and danced until college. Ive traveled a lot of on competing cheer and dance teams.
I’ve always loved to draw I spent a lot of extra drawing imaginary stories,. I have always been a person with a big imagination.
I started in fashion when I 16 years old I learned that I loved to recreate dresses that I seen in magazines. I was able to sketch dresses exactly how I seen them. I drew the blueprint to my fashion boutique when I was 16 years old. I sketched in class. In my early twenties, I started doing print modeling for small clothing lines. The response I received from photographers were very positive. I juggled styling and print modeling as extracurricular activities. I am called a “social butterfly” and “superstar by a family member.
In 2019 I discovered my life’s purpose I am called as an evangelist. I have decided to imply The Gospel of Jesus Christ and Fashion together. I believe you can be full of life, stylish, and live for Jesus. I believe in extending love to everyone. I still do print modeling. I am currently working on a shoe line.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have always experienced obstacles and challenges since a very young age but I am extremely strong and through Yahweh’s Grace and Guidance I am an overcomer.
I suffered a major injury in 2014 and 2015 I was considered disabled by the state I was unable to walk. I tore both of my patella tendons I’ve had four knee surgeries. I’ve completed multiple rounds of physical therapy. I’ve learned how to use my lower extremities.it was a challenge going through physical therapy and very painful but I made up my mind that I would become physically mobile again. I used to use a walker and knee braces. I had to relearn how to physically walk again. It included walking completely on my own without any equipment.
It has been extremely hard nothing has been easy I have experienced and overcame homelessness, disability, depression, and anxiety. I gave up on my dreams before because I felt defeated in life. I’ve had to start completely over multiple times I’ve been homeless more than once I truly stood on “If I lose everything I’ll still have Jesus I’ll have enough to start all over again”
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
