Today we’d like to introduce you to Monique Allen.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
College Elite was founded in 2015 with a mission to support college students in their academic and personal success. As the needs of students evolved, we expanded our focus in 2024 to include health and wellness. This led to the launch of our wellness line, Intrinsically Yours, which offers natural and holistic products ranging from herbal teas to dorm cleaning sprays. Our goal is to promote overall well-being and help students create healthier lifestyles both on and off campus.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Thus far, the experience has been very positive, especially considering we have not yet officially promoted the product line.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
College Elite is recognized for the community events we organize, which are designed to bring families together through engaging activities that encourage connection and relationship-building. Supporting small businesses is also a core part of our mission. At each event, we provide vendor opportunities that allow small businesses to showcase their products and services while gaining exposure within the community. Vendor participation helps support our initiative of providing free care packages to college students, creating a mutually beneficial partnership. As an added benefit, participating businesses are offered a complimentary vendor space at a future event. Through our wellness division, Intrinsically Yours, we are expanding our support for students by introducing additional wellness-focused incentives. Students can now access a variety of wellness services, both complimentary and paid, using their student ID, helping make holistic wellness more accessible throughout their college experience.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
One challenge and opportunity we’ve encountered has been temporarily transitioning to an online-only model. Following the sale of our physical location, we’ve used this period strategically to identify a new space that better aligns with our long-term vision and operational needs.
