Today we’d like to introduce you to Raneika Raine.
Hi Raneika, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a serial entrepreneur. I’m a poet, a data specialist, and I work in real estate. I always had dreams of being successful I just didn’t know how to make that happened. I been a poet since I was 15. I have done podcasting, graphic design – just different avenues over the years to find my niche.
Now at 37, I understand the meaning of life and the meaning of putting myself forward. As I embark on a journey relocating to Houston, Texas I’m adding more things to my portfolio like plus-size modeling. (I’m a 6’1 BBW)
I made it out the mud, I overcame the flood. Now I’m just enjoying the rain.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I had a rough childhood. I didn’t have a lot of support. I dealt with neglect and abandonement issues but that’s how I became a poet – needing a positive outlet to express myself and let things go. I struggled all my 20s to speak life into myself. God and changing my way of thinking carried me through.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a poet/writer. I been doing it for over 25 years – one of my longest creatives.
Real Estate Professional. I wholesale land and I partner in fix and flips. My ultimate goal is to become a landlord and offer affordable housing to communities in need.
What sets me apart from others? I lead with my heart. If I don’t feel it, I don’t do it. I am very passionate about my work. I follow logic and data like everybody else but I have that added layer.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Believing in myself and being my own main cheerleader.
