Hi Roopal, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
A sweet Hello from Austin!! I am Roopal Patel, a micro-influencer and a content-creator on Instagram with the handle name @foodfashionfestive. Also a vegetarian foodie, a fashionista and a novice home decor enthusiast! From the very early days of my life in India, I have been an avid cook. My fondness of cooking is very much appreciated in my family and friends far and wide. Taking the same interest of cooking further, I took a leap on the blog sphere in 2015. With the changing times, social media feeds like Instagram and Facebook took over the place of blogging in my life.
Now I am passionate about my Instagram page, where I regularly share things of my all interests. Looking at my hard work I poured in my content, my work got noticed and appreciated by many barter deals and promotion of brands. And that’s how I started my journey of being an influencer. Now, with being an influencer and content creator, I pay keen attention to my work and choose brands and collaboration opportunities that will truly be helpful to my followers. In the course I have earned many paid collaboration and opportunities to work with bigger and top-most brands. One has to be a student lifelong and taking the same motto further, day by day I am learning and willing to learn and inspire along on social media now. I am hoping to bring much more creativity to everyone on my platform this coming year!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a smooth but definitely unique journey to experience. Oftentimes, when editing pictures and writing posts you can tend to find yourself spending too much time on the screen and less time out in the world. I have learned to cope with that and handle both of those things gracefully. Because, after all, I have the world to thank for my social media success. I receive endless support from my sweet peers, such as my daughter and childhood friend. With having a big following, there tend to be some times when people can consciously see what you post and do the same for their page. While there is no harm in it, it can get a little frustrating. I have learned to overlook such situations. Overall, my journey has been filled with many great things and less obstacles which I am grateful for.

My work mainly includes preparing different types of food, sharing clothing and beauty accessories from variety of brands with my followers, and sharing festive home decor! I am most proud of my collaboration with the Sprouts Farmers Marker and H‑E‑B. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me from every single retailers! Something that sets me apart from others is the originality in my posts!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My most important piece of advice to anyone starting something like this is to be creative and be original. Set yourself apart from everyone else. Don’t be scared to try something new because it will lead you to so many more new opportunities!
