Daily Inspiration: Meet Saad Shaikh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saad Shaikh.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Saad was completely captivated by electronic music when he first heard DJ Sakin & Friends‘ “Protect Your Mind” — the theme for Braveheart — in the late ’90s. His taste quickly evolved, diving deep into Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, and Hernán Cattáneo, sneaking into raves as a teenager across the Dallas underground. In 2003, at 18 years old and just weeks after graduating high school, a major car wreck left him in a coma for 41 days. When he finally returned home from the hospital, he found joy in only one place: music. That life-changing experience propelled him to start DJing in 2004, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Saad’s EDM scene experience began in the late ’90s at Dallas’s legendary Bronco Bowl, though he stepped away from the scene to pursue college and a professional career in technology sales. Now based in the Dallas area, his return marks a full-circle moment — a 20-year comeback driven by the same passion that first drew him to the scene. His sets span progressive house, melodic house, and tech house, channeling cinematic emotional arcs with long builds, layered melodies, and euphoric drops. He began producing original material in 2019, weaving the same narrative sensibility from the booth into the studio.
Saad has commanded rooms at DallasFest at Vice Park, Swirled Peace in Bishop Arts, and the Breakaway Dallas 2026 Silent Disco, with a growing résumé of bars, clubs, festivals, and coffee shops across North Texas. He made his Compatible Music Radio debut with CMR226, a one-hour progressive house journey. A former euphonium player with a deep love of classical music — he bought the Jurassic Park soundtrack as a kid and still catches the Dallas Symphony Orchestra — his musical foundation runs far beyond the club. Whether he’s reading a packed dance floor or building an intimate journey, Saad brings heightened audience awareness, turntable mastery, and an effortless ability to keep the energy strong from the first beat to the last. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been smooth, although I took breaks from DJing due to career pursuits, marriage, divorce, and other reasons. I have come back into the Dallas House Music scene as of November 2025.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a full-time Sales Professional. I worked in the Technology industry for over 10 years. I was also partnered on a IT Lead Generation / Outsourced Sales venture back in 2011. I have consistently been a top-performer in major organizations such as Palo Alto Networks, Comparex USA, and Accenture. In Q4 2024 I made the switch to education, working for Books Are Fun. I make a true impact on the literacy of children across the nation. It is very rewarding and very important that the next generation grows up with educated minds.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan to build my DJ and Production side career, while simultaneously building my career within Education/Literacy Sales.
