Today we’d like to introduce you to Samson Adeleke.
Samson, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started hosting back in my college days at Lagos State University on campus, I am the go to person to host school concerts and events.
Fast forward to 2014, when I relocated to the USA for my Masters in Chemistry from Western Illinois University, where I graduate in 2016 with a GPA of 4.0.
During those times, I was hosting birthday parties in Macomb, Illinois for friends and classmates.
After my graduation in 2016, I then decided to go professional and since then, the progression has been up and up to the glory of God. As I speak, I have been blessed to travelled to more than 15 countries to host events, ranging from weddings to birthdays etc.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was not a smooth road, there were challenges here and there especially at the early phase, trying to get gigs and convince people that I am very good at what I do, especially here in the USA. Another challenge was with outfits sourcing and what to wear because as some point, I started hosting lot of gigs, like an average of 40-50 gigs every year. I will struggle with how to combine clothes and colors so as to look very presentable.
The most significant challenge was when I suffered a Cardiac Arrest on October 13 2021, which almost made me quit hosting event but God healed me completely
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am very unique in my way of hosting. I consider myself a multi talented MC, because I speak good clean English with no vulgar words, I deliver clean family friendly jokes only, I have an amazing energy that helps me connect with guests during audience engagement and lastly, I am also a Hypeman for afterparty events. All these makes me one of the most sort after MC in the world
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I am so blessed to have the talent, even though I almost quitted after I had a cardiac arrest in 2021 but God saved me. I am very grateful to God that I am alive to use my talent to touch many lifes, creating unforgettable joy and memories.
