Hi Virginia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I earned my BFA in Interior Design from Stephen F. Austin University. I established my design firm in 2001 allowing me to take my passion of creating airy, sophisticated yet fun spaces beyond the realm of friends and family. After great success in the interior design field, I found my real passion in remodeling. I can proudly say I’ve now made my mark in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, Texas.
I am passionate about helping others transform their personal spaces into something uniquely special. My team brings a rare mix of talents that are not only geared toward transforming the space of your dreams, but our extensive expertise in contractor & material selection as well as project management make the process extremely easy for our clients.
In 2018 I followed my passion for remodeling and became licensed and insured to take on bigger projects. At VK Interiors we strive to provides our clients with spaces that are functional, fresh, and uniquely their own. With an eye for color and scale, we specialize in curating distinctive spaces that are transitional and timeless.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I feel extremely fortunate to have found a wonderful team of highly skilled sub-contractors to work with which makes everything run smoothly. Of course, there are always challenges when running a small business, especially in construction. Preparation and planning help prevent problems on the job site. Like in life, difficulties sometimes arise but it is how you respond that count.
