Hi Wandria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
B3 Media, LLC was birthed out of a desire to see greater positive representation of women, particularly women of color, on media platforms. B3 Media TV is committed to providing uplifting context that educates, empowers and encouraged women to use their unique voices as a vehicle for change in their families, communities, workplace and nation.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Obstacles along the journey often lead to creative solutions. In a media climate that thrives on negative images and false information, B3 Media faced the challenge of developing content that is honest, open and transparent without the pressure of sensationalism. Our commitment to quality is therefore targeted in our scope of content and guests we interview. We create content with one eye on the current culture and climate and another on leaving a legacy of positive impact for the next generation of women of color in media.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As the CEO and Creativepreneur of B3 Media, it is my primary responsibility to seek creative ways to present B3 Media to the world and cultivate future talent that brings quality content to the masses. I enjoy the process of researching media trends and analyzing practices that allows B3 Media to be inspirational, informational and transformational to the lives of the women viewing our platform.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York. I was an extremely curious child with a great imagination which would lead me on adventures as I played in my neighborhood. Every neighbor and teacher was a character in the story of my life and I would write short stories and plays based upon my interactions with them.
I have always been involved in the art of storytelling through creative writing and acting. Media was a natural evolution for my life’s journey as my joy for all forms of artistic expression; my love for the stage; and passion for reading perfectly intertwines in my roles at B3 Media.
