Deidre Wosnak’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We recently had the chance to connect with Deidre Wosnak and have shared our conversation below.

Deidre , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Something outside of work I have been enjoying lately is exercise. I have always tried to stay healthy by doing some sort of exercise, but I honestly didn’t enjoy it. I have come to understand that after 40, to maintain health and stamina, a healthy cardio routine is imperative. I have been walking daily and am really enjoying these walks, and missing them on days I cannot make it. I alternate (depending on weather), walking outdoors or on a treadmill and have become very fond of the time spent and the positive change in my overall energy level.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a registered nurse with over a decade of experience. I have worked in many different nursing roles, both inpatient specializing in caring for patients with heart heart and lung disorders and surgical interventions, as well as out patient wound care and hyperbaric treatments and care management. Working in wound care lead me to a career in aesthetics when witnessing topical treatments and modalities that contributed to chronic wound healing. It was amazing to see and became my passion to integrate my knowledge of topical treatment, skin care and injectables in anti aging modalities, facial balancing and prevention. I am an injector and wellness nurse at Radiant Aesthetics where we provide interventions to our wonderful community to help them reach their aesthetics goals.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom, from an early age, encouraged me to seek out my dreams and she believed I could. She knew I wanted to be a nurse and throughout this journey has reminded me of the accomplishments along the way, understanding well the challenges that come with it.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a brief moment when I questioned whether or not this was the direction I wanted to go with my career. Nursing is so dynamic with varying aspects and opportunities . Medical aesthetics requires a unique and challenging set of skills that is imperative to understand but is also so rewarding. I know now, this is where I was always meant to be. Spending time with patients, hearing their stories and helping them reach their aesthetic goals makes my job feel like a dream come.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
It is! Social media may have been one of the toughest places of growth that I am still working to master. I have always been more of a spectator than a player on most social media platforms. I’ve shared with family and friends previously but never publicly. I have decided, being my authentic self is the only way I can comfortably engage. So, what you see, is who I am.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am a firm believer in meeting challenges that enable growth, and with growth, there is change. I was born to be exactly where I am, a proud wife, mom and nurse. I am fortunate to have made it to this point in my career. Working at Radiant Aesthetics, with our fabulous team and patients who have become like family, has proven to me that, strong faith, consistency, hard work, constant willingness to learn and a positive attitude will take you to the places you’re meant to be. We are opening a second location in Granbury, and we couldn’t be more excited. A true sign of the integrity and consistency of our work leading to growth throughout our community.
