Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Nicole Bland. She and her team share their story with us below:
In 2010, Amanda pursued her passion and love for skin where she received both her medical aesthetician and laser tech license. Over the years, she has worked for many well-established med spas in Scottsdale, Arizona, and in the DFW area, but has always dreamed of one-day opening and owning her own med spa where both men and women could come and experience true transformation. Amanda didn’t want to be “just another med spa.” She wanted to create a first-class experience for each and every guest that walked through the doors. In 2021, Amanda decided to take the leap of faith and open Modern Skin Med Spa, a full-service upscale medical spa located in the heart of Frisco, TX, at The Star in May 2022.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, the journey has been smooth. There have been, however, challenges as well.
I would say the biggest challenge that I faced along the way was dealing with the internal mind battles. I had to force myself to release the fear and anxiety of the “what if” and believe that I can really achieve anything that I put my mind to. A great lesson that that I’ve learned throughout this process was understanding the importance of setting aside your emotions and to continue to move toward your goal no matter the circumstance.
