Exploring Life & Business with Ashlea Madison of Honor Your Heart Coaching LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlea Madison.

Hi Ashlea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was in high school, I was a PAL for my Senior Service. I remained on campus to mentor the underclassmen. At that moment, I realized I wanted to become an innovator in helping shape the lives of the younger generation. I knew it was my purpose!! So, I became a middle school English teacher in 2012 and have been a School Counselor for the past 6 years. I absolutely love giving back to my students each day. In 2022, I made the decision to put myself out there in order to reach more teens, not just those at my school. The journey began once I found the Youth Coaching Institute and completed their Certified Youth Resilience Coach certification. It was an amazing program and truly set the tone for what I wanted to accomplish with Honor Your Heart Coaching LLC.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been smooth but I am truly blessed. Initially, creating my business name, brand, website and services was a fun and smooth process. I worked with a few high school students planning for college in 2023. I also teamed up with an online school that covered the cost of my coaching services for students dealing with specific struggles during the 23-24 school year. That was truly a fun and rewarding experience that helped me grow as a coach. Since then, the struggle I have experienced is a decrease in consistent client flow. However, I have used this time to pour into myself and find ways to enhance my brand…my passion.

We’ve been impressed with Honor Your Heart Coaching LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Honor Your Heart Coaching is a one stop shop for youth (14) and young adults who need support personally, professionally, and/or academically. I can assist with college transition, career guidance, goal setting, confidence/self love progression and so much more! I take the time to truly get to know my clients and learn what will work best for them, individually. I do not treat each client the same because we are all so different.

Something that sets me apart from others is the way I connect with teens. I have a fun personality and I’m young at heart. I believe those attributes help me connect with teens in a real way. When they feel safe and understood, they open up…and that’s where the real growth happens. I live for those aha moments!

I offer weekly 45 minutes, one on one, coaching sessions. Clients can opt for a la carte sessions or choose one of my packages (6-10 sessions). All sessions are virtual, offered Monday-Saturday and affordable.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The older I get, the more I truly embrace being a Dallas native. I love the culture in Dallas. The city is diverse with so many things you can do and see. On the flip side, the traffic is not fun, lol!
