However, life had its own plans for me, and the priority of providing for my family led me into the corporate world. I worked diligently, ensuring that my daughter had the best opportunities, especially as she pursued her college education.
Then, in 2018, a sudden storm shook my world. The company I had dedicated my time and effort to underwent a massive company-wide layoff. As a single mother with a daughter in college, the responsibility of securing our future fell squarely on my shoulders. It was a moment of reckoning, a time to make life-altering decisions.
In that defining moment, I threw caution to the wind. I decided to chase my long-held dream to create a path for myself in the world of beauty. With determination in my heart, I enrolled in Ogle Beauty School to become a licensed esthetician. It was the start of an incredible journey, one that would demand more of me than I ever imagined.
Working full-time during the day and attending beauty school at night was a challenge. It pushed me to my limits, testing my resolve and dedication. But I never wavered because I believed that God was guiding my steps and lighting my path. I had faith that I could be successful in this new venture.
From the very beginning of this journey, I felt an undeniable sense of purpose. It was as if I had finally found my true calling. This purpose ignited a passionate fire within me to further educate myself in body sculpting. I wanted to empower women by teaching them about their skin and bodies, instilling in them the gift of feeling amazing with a holistic approach that prioritized inner health and healing. My goal was to boost their confidence, celebrating their uniqueness, and embracing any imperfections.
I was committed to providing my clients with a sustainable and proactive path to achieve their desired body and skin. I knew that this journey was not just about beauty but about transformation, both inside and out.
Today, I’m excited to share my passion with the world and to execute my vision in my own unique way. My mission is clear: to consistently provide gratifying results from my services, enhance women’s confidence, and offer life-changing results to all those who seek my guidance. We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The unfiltered truth about the journey, let me assure you that no road to entrepreneurship is entirely smooth, especially when building something from the ground up. It involves a multitude of challenges, from financial constraints to finding the right space, creating content for social media, deciding on a suitable name, and formulating a business plan. This journey has been a rollercoaster ride for me, filled with its fair share of ups and downs.
Starting and sustaining a business is far more demanding than what social media might portray. It necessitates unwavering dedication, hard work, consistency, a commitment to ongoing learning, and the acceptance that you’ll make mistakes along the way. Even with nearly four years in the industry, I continue to evolve, both personally and in my business endeavors.
My journey commenced with part-time work, juggling three to four evenings a week after leaving my full-time job. Just when I thought I had settled into a routine, the pandemic struck, throwing an unexpected curveball into my path. However, I never allowed myself to dwell on the setbacks; instead, I focused on my unwavering belief that I was walking in my purpose. I held onto my faith and remained fixated on my goals. During that time, I dedicated myself to continuous education, preparing meticulously to launch my own spa and bring my business aspirations to fruition.
So, for anyone embarking on the entrepreneurial journey, know that the path may be filled with obstacles, but with perseverance, faith, and a commitment to growth, you can overcome the challenges and make your dreams a reality.
