Exploring Life & Business with Bryson And Meagan Funk of LNKD MGMT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryson And Meagan Funk.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We began our careers in film and television production in 2013, working across multiple departments on projects of all sizes. Those experiences shaped our approach to collaboration, problem-solving, process management, and work ethic while giving us the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented professionals in the industry.

In 2017, we launched Loft Stories, a listening room series in Deep Ellum that combined our passion for music, community, and unique shared experiences. That venture led us into corporate leadership roles, where Bryson built expertise in operations, logistics, team leadership, marketing, SEO, and public relations, while Meagan helped grow an entertainment division that connected corporate organizations with creative communities through public art programs, city festivals, and live music activations.

Over the years, our combined experience has spanned event production, marketing, operations, community engagement, sponsorships, public art, and entertainment programming. We are grateful that those experiences ultimately led us to operating the Downtown Mesquite Market at Front Street Station, where we can bring together the full range of our skills to support and build upon the strong foundation the City of Mesquite has created while continuing to foster meaningful community connections.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If someone has found a smooth road, please point us in that direction. We chose the entrepreneurial path because it’s the only one that has ever felt right for us. Building something from the ground up comes with challenges and uncertainty, but that is also where the most growth happens.

We have learned to keep moving forward, even when progress is slow or uncertain, and to treat obstacles as part of the process rather than a reason to stop. Some of our most meaningful opportunities have come after moments when quitting would have been easier. As long as we believe in what we are building, we keep going and stay open to wherever the journey leads.
