In her spare time she loves to cook, read, draw, be surrounded by nature, relax on a beach and of course spend time with her family and friends.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No,
Life and a career as an entrepreneur and small business owner comes with a lot of stress. Especially one where the income is not steady, the expensive are there no matter what and you don’t get paid until after all the work is done. In real estate you can do all the work and then at the last minute a transaction falls apart to no fault of yours and just like that you don’t get paid. The market can also be unpredictable and seasonal, so if you ar not prepared for the peaks and valleys of inconsistency it can be a tough road.

But for me the biggest struggles I have in this career are managing the stress that my clients feel. I try to keep their stress to a minimum, but that comes at a cost, because then I am taking it on. It is my job to manage the stress and the negative things that go wrong and solve the problems before my clients even know they exist. Sometimes it is inevitable that they will be stressed, but if I can take on their burdens that is part of the job.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
As a real estate agent and team lead for the Clarissa Bush Group of 6th Ave Homes, I have built my business on trust, honesty and being committed to my clients, family and friends. For me it is about building relationships. Each client I come in contact with has a certain set of needs and criteria and it is important to me to learn about those and what their goals are. Communication and customer service is what I am known for. I am only as good as the words I communicate and the frequency in which I do. Clients want to have the answers before they pose the questions and it is always my goal to provide steeply step guidance so that there is always a smoothness and ease to the transition. If my client are asking too many questions then I am not doing my job. My systems are built on communication and details.

My clients are also my friends. I have worked with families helping them with multiple transactions over the years and also done transactions with multiple family members. Woking with repeat and referral clients is what drives my business. It means I am doing something right and that is I have built a level of trust and commitment to them.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see AI being incorporated into the real estate industry with full force. I have started to use it frequently myself and am amazed at how it has simplified some everyday tasks. I have also used it to help make me more organized and task oriented. It helps me stay on top of the details that I simply can’t forget because when you are handling real estate contracts the timeline details are extremely important. However, there’ll always be a need for real estate professionals and AI can’t completely take over. There is the human and the emotional aspect that goes hand in hand with every transaction that AI can not be used to substitute. Buyers and sellers need the one to one human interaction and guidance that is necessary for their individual needs. Buying and selling real estate is emotional. A transaction can go from happy, to scary, to stressful all in a single day. I do not think AI will ever be able to substitute the emotional responses that an agent can give to their clients. We need to be able to explain things in the proper tone and geared to our individual clients needs and personalities. Clients deserve this kind of customer care.
