Heavenly Touch by Gigi: A Story of Reinvention, Courage, and Purpose — the journey of a Dominican woman thriving in Texas
There are moments in life when a single decision reshapes everything. For me, that moment arrived when I realized I deserved a life that felt fuller, more authentic, and aligned with who I truly was. I am a single mother who, with determination and unwavering faith, chose to rewrite her story from the ground up.
For years, I worked in a field that never truly fulfilled me. Deep down, I knew there was something more—something that would allow me to connect, to heal, and to make a meaningful impact. In 2013, I left Rhode Island and moved to Texas in search of a fresh start. What I didn’t know then was that the simple massages I offered to family members were quietly revealing my true calling: therapeutic massage.
In 2023, I made a decision that marked a turning point in my life: I went back to school. I enrolled in massage therapy training, dedicated myself wholeheartedly, and earned my professional license. It wasn’t just a career change; it was an act of empowerment, a personal declaration that reinvention is always possible.
That momentum carried me even further. In 2024, I opened my own practice, Heavenly Touch by Gigi, in Arlington. Today, I have the privilege of working with high‑performance athletes, including NFL players. Every session is an opportunity to deliver exceptional care, guided by the same warmth, purpose, and dedication that have shaped my journey from the very beginning.
My story is a reminder that dreams don’t expire. Sometimes, they simply wait for the moment when courage meets conviction—and a new chapter begins.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been anything but easy, yet every challenge has shaped the woman and therapist I am today. As a single mother starting over in Texas, I had to rebuild my life from scratch—learning English as a second language, adapting to a new world, and holding onto the hope of creating a better future for my son.
One of the hardest moments was realizing that the career I had devoted years to no longer fulfilled me. Returning to school in 2023 meant balancing motherhood, work, and studies, often leaving my son in the care of family so I could chase a dream that felt bigger than my fears. Missing moments with him were painful, but I knew I was building something meaningful for both of us.
Every sacrifice, every late night, every step into the unknown led me to where I stand today—with purpose, resilience, and a career that finally feels like home.

I specialize in therapeutic work for high‑performance athletes, including NFL players, and I’m also certified as a Medical Massage Practitioner and Oncological Massage Practitioner. These advanced specialties allow me to support clients recovering from injuries, navigating medical treatments, or simply needing a safe space to heal.
What truly sets my practice apart is the intention behind it. As a single mother who rebuilt her life from the ground up—learning English as a second language, returning to school as an adult, and working tirelessly to create a better future—I bring empathy, precision, and purpose into every session. My clients feel that the moment they walk in.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t really see my journey as luck — good or bad. Everything that has unfolded in my life and business has been the result of grace, alignment, and the Lord’s favor over my path. Some seasons stretched me, others lifted me, but each one shaped the way I show up in my work today. What people might call “luck” has really been preparation, faith, and the right doors opening at the right time. I’m grateful for every step, because it all led me to the purpose I’m living now.
