Hi Loan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Loan Tang, and I am originally from Vietnam. I have been living and working in Arlington, Texas for more than 13 years.
I was born into a family where my mother was a teacher and my siblings became doctors in Vietnam. After moving to the United States, I started my journey in Texas with fashion design as my passion and career. Just two months after settling here, I opened and began running my own fashion store — and I have continued this journey until today.
What I want to share with everyone is this: nothing in life is truly impossible. The only thing we should fear is giving up too soon. With patience, perseverance, and a strong heart, success will come.
Many of you may be surprised to know that I am someone who came back from the edge of death. I fought stage 4 cancer after two years of chemotherapy, radiation, and medical treatments. Today, as I stand here with “Real Person, Real Talk,” I truly want to share what I did to build a strong spirit and overcome hardship — especially as a foreigner living alone in the United States.
Honestly, I feel that I am now living my second life. I want to do something meaningful to thank God and thank the higher power for giving me this second chance at life.
My goal is to do my best to inspire and encourage others, especially those who are fighting life-threatening illnesses like cancer. In the near future, I plan to create more videos sharing my real journey in detail — what I did, how I followed a strict diet, what I ate and drank, how I exercised, and how I fought to push back tumors and regain my life.
More importantly, I want to create inspirational videos to help people stay positive, keep moving forward, live with hope, and take care of their health. This is one of the things I truly want to do as a way of giving thanks for this life.
As a woman with no close family or relatives here in a foreign country, and with more than 13 years of experience in fashion, I also hope to share my knowledge and experience with students and young people. I want to encourage them to follow their dreams, continue learning, and use their talents to bring beauty to people and to life.
I want to make it clear that everything I am doing comes from gratitude and sincerity. This is not about business or financial gain. It comes from my heart.
I truly hope to receive your sincere love, support, and encouragement in the future.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Living in a foreign country is never easy. It takes time to understand the lifestyle, the culture, and everything around you. Sometimes, even the language can become a barrier and cause many misunderstandings.
Especially when you have no relatives or family beside you, you have to face every difficulty alone. It takes years of patience, strength, and silent struggles before everything finally starts to fall into place.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important quality for my success is perseverance. Fashion is a creative field, but it also requires patience, hard work, and the ability to understand people. I always listen to my customers and try my best to help them feel confident and beautiful in what they wear. I believe my passion, dedication, and positive spirit are what help me succeed.
