Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Élan and I met as students at Texas A&M University School of Law and quickly became law school besties! The seed that grew into our law firm began when we were paired together as moot court partners in law school. We competed on behalf of our TAMU Black Law Students Association Chapter regionally and nationally. During our time on the team we won regionals and placed second nationally. After that, classmates would see us in the hallway and started combining our names, and called us Elaine Law. The name stuck with us. When it was time for us to establish our practice, it was natural to stick with the name our classmates, now colleagues knew us by. Elaine Law Group was born!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I do not think any entrepreneurial path is smooth or simple. One of the most important challenges successful small businesses must face is building a great team, and we are grateful for the team we have built and are growing.

We serve entrepreneurs and creative professionals with Business Law, Intellectual Property, and Estate Planning legal services. We are proud to be a boutique practice that provides personalized service. Unlike most law firms, we do not charge our clients to talk to us!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
It is often said that luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Élan and I were lucky to have met in law school but our opportunity came to fruition because we were prepared.

- We believe it is important that legal services be accessible, accordingly many of our transactional legal services are flat fee and our fees can be financed through our payment processors.
