Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Leal
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started lashing in 2020 while I was on an overseas deployment with the U.S. Army. This was during Covid-19 and we had some extra time on our hands so I decided to learn something new. At first it was just something to do for my fellow solider friends ,to make them feel beautiful while in uniform. I quickly realized that I really enjoy lashing & it was something I wanted to pursue once I got back to the states. So that’s exactly what I did!
I signed up for a lash course as soon as I got home And I’ve been lashing ever since. It is truly my passion to make women feel beautiful in their own skin!
I now offer other services in addition to lash extensions: facials , brows , and waxing. I also offer beginner lash courses and have my own brand of lash supplies for other lash artist.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I definitely faced many obstacles while building my beauty business. When I first started my business ,my mother had just been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time. I took a lot of breaks from lashing to take care of her. My mother is still fighting cancer at the moment. It never really gets easier but she is definitely one of my biggest motivations. I also recently became a mom as well. Trying to grow a successful business and brand while being a new mom has definitely been challenging but my daughters is also a huge motivation for me. In my 4 years of lashing , I also served in the U.S. Army National Guard , I went to college and got my BBA Degree & went to school for my Esthetician License. I can definitely say this road has not been smooth but definitely worth it!
We’ve been impressed with Itty Bitty Esthetics LLC , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in all things lash extensions! From offering my beauty services ,lash supplies and lash courses. I recently added Facials , brows & waxing to my menu as well . I am salon based out of Dallas , Tx . I have a passion for making all women feel beautiful in their own skin & helping women start their own beauty business as well. I offer beginner , refresher & styling lash courses , as well as business coaching .
What does success mean to you?
My definition of success is financial freedom. Having the freedom to spend weekday mornings with your kids. Having lunch with your husband on a random Tuesday afternoon. Having more time with loved ones. To me, that is true success.
