Today we’d like to introduce you to Yok Tositrakul.
Hi Yok, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We started our family business with the concept of “We serve, what we eat.”
At 246 Thai Grab&Go, we use halal meats, vegetarian friendly sauces, and gluten free options. Our passion is to serve the good Thai food as we have in Thailand that suitable for all communities in Frisco at the affordable price.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Labor and cost control are the most challenging for restaurants. Our costs are getting higher and higher, while we try to keep our prices affordable for everyday meals for all customers. In another hand, labor is the key of quality control for both food and services. In Frisco, it’s hard to find the restaurant labor and harder to get the good worker.
We’ve been impressed with 246 Thai Grab&Go , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
“We serve, what we eat” is the concept that we start this business. We wanted to get the fresh and high quality Thai food as we get in Thailand and we wanted to serve the same thing for our customers. We try to make our food suitable for every communities, such as vegans, gluten allergies, and muslins. We wanted to simplify our food for everyday meals that people could have our food in their everyday with the affordable prices.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I feel like taking a risk is a part of our lives. There are many things we need to make decisions in everyday lives and every decision is about risks. We are taking risks in every decision we make. I personally don’t afraid to take risks if I can see what I’m going to get. It’s about risk management! If I see risks, I will just find the way to minimize them and do my best to get the best results I could make.
