Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Farooqui.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started off as a fitness coach and transitioned into business coaching and consulting in early 2020. It all began with social media and me sharing my journey with the world. It surprisingly caught a lot of attraction and I was able to grow and build both my businesses that way. Now I am a full-time business coach and consultant but I am not done growing. I am currently working on creating a community of Women Leaders, it is called The Sisterhood Community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Being a young, female, minority and an entrepreneur is not always easy. I do get a lot of questions and doubt from others, but it has made me 100x stronger and I use what other people may see as a weakness as my strength and leverage that. One big struggle was being “too young” to be a business coach and to teach others about business. But at 17 I started and scaled a fitness coaching business all through social media because I am a young soul and I know how to utilize social media unlike the older folks. So, I do have a competitive advantage because clearly it worked.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Sisterhood Community?
The Sisterhood Community was launched in the end of October in 2021. It is fairly new and still growing. Basically, it is a Women’s community full of entrepreneurs, leaders, and empowering women. I wanted to create this community because I felt the world was lacking support systems from other women and lacking faith. Women are so quick to judge and compare but I wanted to create a safe place for women to come together to support one another without that judgment or competitiveness. We all are here to make a difference and we are better together. I am creating a Women’s mastermind program within the Sisterhood Community called the Big Sister Program. So, I am in hopes for that to grow in 2022 and become one of the top Women Masterminds in the world one day. I’ve been to many masterminds in the past, and it’s very male dominant. I wanted to create something different and empowering for females. I am super proud of this project and seeing the progress it is taking already. I want the readers to know that there is a free section to the Sisterhood Community called little sisters and you get access to free monthly sisterhood sessions on different topics each month.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I do see my industry going more into the event space and that is why I am trying to move into the Mastermind and Conference area in 2022.
