Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Samuels.
Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My path to founding my advisory firm wasn’t linear, and if I’m being entirely raw, it was forged in the fire of some of the most challenging moments of my life. For over a decade, I climbed the ladder in Corporate America. I was the person who always showed up, went above and beyond, and poured everything into every position I held—even when the work environments became increasingly toxic. Seeking elevation, I made a major career pivot, believing it would be the breakthrough I had worked so hard for. Instead, I found myself trapped in a hostile environment marked by workplace bullying and unwarranted hostility. For the sake of my peace and my expanding family, I made the terrifying decision to sever ties and walk away.
The mental and physical toll of that exit followed me. The lingering anxiety triggered a severe bout of pre-natal depression, culminating in a traumatic health crisis that neither I nor my family was prepared for. At six months pregnant, the stress manifested physically, and I developed Varicella Zoster Virus in my left ear, which left me with partial facial paralysis—Bell’s Palsy.
When I finally tried to re-enter the workforce, healed and ready, I was met with a wall of polite rejection: ‘You’re a great fit, but we went in another direction.’ That was my turning point. I realized I was done asking for a seat at tables that didn’t value my seat anyway. I took my ten-plus years of financial expertise, packed up my resilience, and built BJSamuels Advisory LLC. What was born out of rejection and frustration quickly blossomed into deep passion and purpose.
As my bookkeeping business grew, so did my calling to do more than just manage data. In a beautiful twist of fate, my personal healing journey introduced me to alternative and cosmetic medicine to reverse my facial paralysis. While sitting in those chairs as a patient, I got a rare, firsthand glimpse into the back-office operational struggles of the beauty and cosmetic industry. I saw brilliant, artistic clinicians drowning under their own overhead, trapped in the same ‘data fog’ I knew how to solve.
Today, BJSA Advisory serves as the Fractional Chief Profit Officer for these practices. I went from a space of toxicity to a space of total alignment—handling the business, so these incredible healers can safely own the beauty – I became the beauty behind the business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been anything but a smooth road. In fact, it has been a beautiful, chaotic, and sometimes agonizing masterclass in reinvention.
When I launched BJSA Advisory, I wasn’t just launching a business; I was stepping into a completely new identity. I was navigating entrepreneurship, while simultaneously learning how to be a first-time mother and a stay-at-home mom. If I’m being completely honest, the hardest struggle hasn’t been the financial architecture or the software integrations—it has been the internal war of redefining what being ‘HER’ looks like in this new season.
In the beginning, the mom-guilt was overwhelming. I found myself trapped between two worlds: wanting to pour everything into nurturing my baby, while also feeling this roaring fire inside me to build an empire and protect these clinicians who needed my help. There were days of absolute exhaustion where I was answering client emails with one hand while rocking a sleeping baby with the other, wondering if I was doing justice to either role.
The true struggle was shedding the corporate skin I wore for ten years. In Corporate America, your worth is tied to standard business hours, rigid structures, and keeping your personal life invisible. In this new season, I had to completely dismantle that mindset. I had to learn that my maternal instincts didn’t dilute my business acumen—they amplified it. Protecting my peace and my family didn’t make me less capable; it made me a more deeply empathetic and fierce advisor for my clients, many of whom are also balancing demanding clinical careers with their own families.
The road has been bumpy because growth requires friction. But every time I looked at my facial paralysis in the mirror, or looked down at my child, I was reminded that I am building a legacy of absolute freedom. I am proof that you don’t have to choose between being an present mother and a powerhouse CEO. You can be both, on your own terms.
We’ve been impressed with BJSamuels Advisory LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At BJSA Advisory LLC, we partner with medical aesthetic and dental practitioners to bridge the gap between clinical artistry and predictable, elite profitability.. We specialize exclusively in accelerating growth and designing scalable infrastructure for medical aesthetic clinics, med spas, and dental offices.
What we are truly known for is destroying the Data Fog that keeps brilliant practitioners trapped. Most clinic owners are operating on historical data—traditional, passive P&L statements provided by compliance accountants weeks after the money has already been spent. We do the exact opposite. We step in to handle the critical foundational layer—the daily transaction management, strict account reconciliation, and payroll entry—and then we turn that data into strategy.
We are highly sought after for our customized 90-Day Operational Roadmap. Instead of leaving business owners with abstract advice, we build a tailored, high-impact tactical plan based on their specific practice needs. This is a blueprint they can implement on Day 1 to immediately start plugging financial leaks, optimizing schedules, and maximizing their net profit margins.
What sets us apart is our proprietary Marketing-to-Margin Loop. Traditional agencies look at Cost Per Lead, but we look at Net Profit Yield Per Lead. Because this framework is highly specialized and tailored to the unique infrastructure of each clinic, we protect the specific mechanics of this practice. However, for practitioners who are ready to look behind the curtain of their own numbers, we invite you to explore the full depth of our Clinical Profitability Protocol on our website at [bjsamuelsadvisory.com] or follow our journey on social media at @bjsamuelsadvisoryllc, where we share daily insights on the business behind the beauty.
Brand-wise, I am most proud of our unwavering commitment to integrity and protection. Before we implement a single growth protocol or deliver a roadmap, we execute a mandatory, comprehensive financial Clean-Up during our initial audit phase. We refuse to build a legacy on top of fractured data. We rectify historical misclassifications, protect the ‘House Margin’ against provider compensation leaks, and build an airtight foundation.
If there is one thing I want the VoyageDallas readers to know about BJSA Advisory, it is that we are not a generic compliance firm. We are infrastructure architects. For the practitioner who is ready to transition from a tired owner-operator to a true CEO, our services provide the complete business backbone. We handle the numbers, the software integrations, and the strategic guardrails, so they can safely step back into their zone of genius and own the beauty
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
The thing that matters to me above all else is legacy—not just the one I am building for myself, but the blueprints we leave behind for future generations.
As a first-time mother, this season of my life is defined by a long, proud list of ‘firsts.’ I am a first-generation college graduate. I am a first-generation Master’s degree holder. I am the first in my family to become a corporate professional, and now, a first-generation business owner and entrepreneur. Reflecting on that path, I know having the right structural support and network would have made those milestones ten times easier. I didn’t have a pre-existing blueprint or mentorship to guide me; instead, I had something far more enduring: mental toughness and pure resilience.
Building BJSA Advisory is my way of pouring out every drop of knowledge, strategy, and strength I’ve acquired over the years. I am intentionally constructing something that does more than just sustain my daughter financially—it provides her with the mindset, tools, and tactical skills to architect her own destiny. When I look at her, knowing that my ceiling will be her floor is absolutely everything to me.
That fire extends far beyond my own home. I want that exact same elevation for other families in our communities. What I know to be absolute truth is that traditional schooling is not a one-size-fits-all path, nor should it be. Higher education was the right answer for me, but it is not the destination for everyone. However, a higher thought process and a deeply rooted sense of self-worth can carry our children to heights we never dreamed of reaching in our lifetime.
It is vital to me to pay this forward and empower individuals to help themselves, particularly those from families who may lack the resources to give them a head start. To bring this vision to life, BJSA Advisory is developing the Legacy Builders Program—a future initiative engineered to teach upcoming generations the core principles of ownership, mindset, and the practical financial skills required to attain generational wealth and personal freedom. We are actively aligning with sponsors and community organizers to weave this initiative directly into the fabric of our growing neighborhoods. At the end of the day, true architecture isn’t just about building profitable businesses; it’s about anchoring the communities that sustain them.
