Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Stuart.
Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Brittany Stuart & I have been in the transportation industry for 10 years. In early 2019 my husband had an idea to start a Hotshot Trucking company, and I was going to support him along his journey. During the beginning stages, I began dispatching for Owner Operators while working my full-time job. I was able to learn a lot from my clients at this time as we led into starting our own company. In September 2019, we both quit our corporate jobs to become full-time entrepreneurs; in less than 3 weeks I turned into a solo entrepreneur as my husband received a job offer that was better to accept than decline. In a matter of 30 days, I quit my job, started a business, lost my full-time business partner, and moved to a brand-new state. It was now either sink or swim, aka figure out my business or go find a job (which I was highly uninterested in doing). I decided that I would let my dispatching clients go so I could figure my own business out.
In the first 5 months of business during COVID-19, my business grossed 6 figures with just 1 truck. I put all of my focus into building a successful company, and I did just that. After 15 months in business, we added 2 trucks to the fleet. Then in 2022, we shifted our business model, and now we Lease on Owner Operators which allows entrepreneurs who have their own equipment to partner with us and operate under our company. Throughout the process of building my own company, I started B. Stuart Consulting which assists entrepreneurs on how to build, scale & grow their own 6 figure Hotshot Trucking companies in under 90 days. Through my free and paid training, I have directly helped over 800 people and have 1-on-1 mentored 20+ in starting & growing their own businesses.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been very challenging in multiple ways.
1. This is a male-dominated industry, so you have to know what you’re talking about and 1/2 of the time, demand the respect that you deserve.
2. When I started trucking 3 years ago, I did not find anyone that was specifically teaching Hotshot Trucking; most of the training and courses were for semi-trucks. So, I had to create my own training to help those who started after me.
3. Full-time entrepreneurship is nothing like full-time in corporate America, so finding a balance between my business, relationship, friendships, and overall, my own self-care.

Stuart Consulting. I teach entrepreneurs how to start, grow and scale their own Hotshot Trucking companies to 6 figures+. I have free and paid training and courses that guide you along the way and allow you to avoid making the costly mistakes that I have made. What makes me different is that I don’t just teach about it, but I also run the operations of my own trucking company and am very hands-on, even in the field. The only thing I don’t have is my Class A CDL (but it’s coming soon!). I received little to no information starting off, and I created my brand so that others don’t have to “wing it or figure it out as they go along.” Running a business anyone can attempt, but it takes knowledge, time, training & a strong drive to run a successful business. Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My husband, family, friends, clients & even followers on social media have all played huge roles in my success. From being a listening ear, sharing ideas, helping find solutions, etc.
