Hidden Gems: Meet David Adame of Primo Drinks

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Adame.

Hi David, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Primo Drinks after spending more than a decade working in restaurants, bars, and fine dining environments throughout Dallas. Hospitality has always been second nature to me. Over the years, I realized that people remember how you make them feel just as much as the food or drinks themselves.

My cousin and I launched Primo Drinks in 2024 with the idea of bringing that same elevated hospitality experience directly to private and corporate events. We saw an opportunity to create something that felt more polished, approachable, and organized than the typical bartending service.

Since starting, we’ve had the chance to work weddings, corporate events, medical facility openings, private parties, and large community events across DFW. A lot of our growth has honestly come from word of mouth and relationships, which means a lot to us.

At the same time, I’ve also built a career in the insurance and risk management world, so I think that combination of hospitality experience and business structure has helped us grow quickly. We focus heavily on preparation, communication, and making sure events run smoothly from beginning to end.

Where we are today is still just the beginning, but it’s been exciting to watch something that started as an idea turn into a real brand people recognize and trust.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like most small businesses, there were a lot of moments where we were figuring things out in real time.

When we first started, we were balancing full time careers while trying to build Primo Drinks on nights and weekends. There’s a lot people do not see behind the scenes, from licensing and logistics to inventory, prep work, staffing, transportation, and learning how to consistently market yourself.

One of the biggest challenges early on was simply building trust and getting our name out there in a very competitive market. In the beginning, every event mattered because each one could either lead to more opportunities or teach us valuable lessons.

We also learned quickly that running a business is very different from just being good at bartending. Hospitality is a huge part of it, but communication, organization, branding, and reliability are what really sustain growth.

There were definitely stressful moments and setbacks along the way, but I think those experiences helped shape the business into what it is today. We’ve continued to grow through relationships, word of mouth, and genuinely caring about the experience we provide for clients and guests.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Primo Drinks is a Dallas based mobile bar and hospitality company specializing in elevated bartending services for private events, corporate gatherings, weddings, brand activations, and community events throughout the DFW area.

What really sets us apart is that we approach events from a hospitality first mindset rather than simply serving drinks. My background and our team’s background come from years in restaurants, fine dining, and high volume hospitality environments, so we focus heavily on guest experience, professionalism, presentation, and creating an atmosphere people remember.

We provide customized cocktail menus, mobile bar setups, mocktail options, batching for larger events, and full beverage service coordination. We’ve worked everything from intimate backyard parties to large corporate events with hundreds of guests. One thing we take pride in is being able to adapt to the tone and vision of each event while still bringing a polished and organized experience.

I think what people appreciate most about our brand is that we try to make the process feel easy and approachable for clients. Events can already be stressful to plan, so we put a lot of emphasis on communication, preparation, and attention to detail.

Brand wise, I’m most proud that Primo Drinks has grown organically through relationships, referrals, and repeat clients. That means a lot because it tells us people genuinely trust us and enjoy working with us.

More than anything, I want readers to know that Primo Drinks is about creating experiences. The cocktails are important, but the real goal is helping people celebrate moments, connect with others, and enjoy events without having to worry about the details behind the scenes.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Absolutely. Primo Drinks would not be where it is today without the support, encouragement, and talent of the people around me.

First and foremost, my cousin Eder deserves a tremendous amount of credit. He helped bring this idea to life from the very beginning. Starting a business comes with a lot of uncertainty, long nights, problem solving, and learning as you go, and having someone equally invested in building something meaningful made a huge difference. We’ve both brought different strengths and experiences to the table, and that partnership has played a major role in the growth of the business.

I also want to give a huge thank you to Abel Barrientos of Nativs Hair Studio. Abel has been incredibly supportive creatively and professionally. He helped us elevate the visual identity and branding side of Primo Drinks, which is something that matters a lot in hospitality and events. In today’s world, presentation and storytelling are a huge part of building a brand, and his work and guidance helped us stand out in a more polished and intentional way.

Another person who deserves a lot of recognition is our photographer and videographer, Edgar Trevizo of Etgenic. Edgar has helped capture the energy, atmosphere, and personality behind our events in a way that really reflects who we are as a brand. A lot of people only see the final product on social media, but having someone who understands how to visually tell your story is incredibly valuable. His creativity and attention to detail have helped us present Primo Drinks in a much more professional and authentic way.

Beyond that, I’m extremely grateful to our clients, friends, family, and everyone who took a chance on us early on. Every referral, every repost on social media, every event booking, and every recommendation helped us continue building momentum.

I also have to credit the hospitality industry itself. Working in restaurants and bars for so many years taught me discipline, adaptability, teamwork, and how important genuine hospitality really is. A lot of what Primo Drinks is today was shaped by the people I worked alongside throughout those years.
