Hidden Gems: Meet Jen Inumerable of Cabin Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jen Inumerable.

Hi Jen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
There are two things I’ve always had an interest in outside of my professional day job: TRAVEL and BEAUTIFUL HOMES.

Before having kids, I would dream about visiting the most interesting places in the world; And when I was starting a family and looking for a house, my husband and I would go “model home shopping” – basically spending the whole afternoon just admiring these beautifully-staged model homes and envisioning ourselves living in them!

Finally, in 2021, I decided to merge my two passions into one – so we bought an amazing vacation home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and started renting it out to travelers! It’s been a wild ride ever since, and I truly enjoy it!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road by any means, but I’ve looked at every obstacle we faced as an opportunity to learn. This is completely new territory for us as a couple, as we’ve never owned a business.

This business also requires building relationships with our guests, and I think what makes us different from other vacation rental owners is that we are not afraid to show them that we are “real people” and that we truly care about their experience. And that really comes across on our 5-star reviews.

As you know, we’re big fans of Cabin Collective. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
The Cabin Collective is a collection of unique vacation rental cabins in the Broken Bow Area. We started in Nov 2021 with “Interstellar,” which is a 2-bedroom cabin with a glamping Bubble Tent. In October 2022, we will be launching “Hope Floats,” a four-bedroom cabin facing the river with a pool.

We cater to families, couples, girls/guy trips, or anybody who is looking for a getaway in nature!

We personally manage each of our cabins, and guests appreciate that about our company. From helping plan their trip to providing recommendations on things to do in the area, we are truly a one-stop shop for that perfect vacation.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
So many! One of my favorite memories were going to one of the beach islands in the Philippines (where I was born) during the summer. There is truly no place like home.
