Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Molina.
Hi Jordan, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to own a business of some sort. I juggled with ideas but was never quite sure what I wanted to do. My mother is a realtor and was always looking for creative gifts to give her clients at the closing table. We looked at different options and saw popcorn/candy/soda gift arrangements. Aha! We knew that’s what we wanted to do! We want to be known as the go-to place for gifts! Any holiday, occasion, or just because. I worked at an events/fundraising coordinator at a private school for a few years and know that most schools/non-profits are always looking for an easy way to raise money. We have the perfect opportunity to do just that…sell popcorn to raise money for your cause, organization, event.
Our goal is to expand and be known to have extraordinary customer service and products.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It wouldn’t be life if there weren’t a few bumps in the road, right? We were blessed to find the perfect location in a wonderful town. Blessings kept coming as we prepared to open in October 2019. We were doing great, getting our feet on the ground, and then the Covid-19 pandemic hit when we had just been opened five months. We went into overdrive and concentrated on how to keep our business afloat while we navigated these rare waters. WE SURVIVED through determination, prayer, and customer support.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Jordan E’s Popcorn & Candy Co. is a family-owned store, located in the heart of Historic Downtown Waxahachie. We have over 50 different flavors of gourmet popcorn, all made in-house. We also have nostalgic candy, sodas, fudge, nuts, gift arrangements, etc. There are too many things to name! Our goal is to make every customer smile and feel welcomed when they walk in the door. From the colors of the walls and the friendliness of our staff to our many choices of products that are sure to bring back memories of your childhood. We have products for all ages! Our young children will find popular items they recognize as well as the older generations finding candies they ate at a child!
We enjoy serving our community by donating products to different organizations/events as well as giving our time being involved in community events as well.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
We live by the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” (Matthew 7:12) When we walk into a business we want to be greeted and feel like we are important and worth someone’s time; therefore, when customers walk in our store, we will greet them with a smile and see how we can help them. We want everyone to leave with a smile.
We also want others to help us when we have a need, so we strive to help others the best we can, in any way we can.
