Hidden Gems: Meet Katie Bryant of The Veil Club

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Bryant.

Hi Katie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I actually got started in wedding content creation while living in Kansas City in the summer of 2024. At the time, I had never even heard of “wedding content creation.” One day, a girl I followed on Instagram randomly messaged me asking if she could pay me to take her phone on her wedding day and capture content for her. I was honestly shocked, but she told me she loved the content I shared on my personal page and knew I could do it.

She sent over inspiration photos, a list of must-capture moments, and I showed up on the wedding day not really knowing what to expect — but I had SO much fun that I didn’t want to leave. I remember thinking, “Wait… people actually do this?!” And just like that, The Veil Club was born.

A month later, I moved to the area outside of Austin, but I was determined to continue growing the business in my new city. Shortly after moving, I booked another wedding back in Arkansas for a friend from college to help build my portfolio. From there, I started pouring into my business — building my social media presence, reaching out to planners and photographers to connect, collaborating to grow my portfolio, and doing everything I could to get my name out there.

Over the next six months or so (fall 2024 through spring 2025), I probably did 5–7 weddings for free in exchange for portfolio building, connections, and experience. Behind the scenes, I was also working nonstop on branding, website design, systems, and all the other pieces that go into building a business from the ground up.

Eventually, those efforts started turning into real bookings. What was especially crazy was that even though I was living outside of Austin, most of my inquiries and bookings were coming from Arkansas — where I’m originally from — and the DFW area. By late spring 2025, after walking through some personal life changes, I realized it made the most sense to relocate to DFW, where the majority of my business was growing.

And now, a year later, here we are. I’m based in Frisco, building my team, bringing on associate creators, and have already booked 40+ weddings for 2026. I also recently quit my full-time job as an occupational therapist to pursue The Veil Club full time — something that still feels surreal to say out loud.

My faith is a huge part of my life, and I truly believe God has guided every step of this journey. He has been so faithful, and I owe all of The Veil Club’s success to Him.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, one of the biggest things that has carried me through this journey has been my faith. Because of my walk with the Lord, I truly feel like He has sustained me in ways I can’t fully explain. That said, building something meaningful is never easy. Growing The Veil Club into what it is today has required an incredible amount of hard work, sacrifice, time, energy, and financial investment.

I think one of the biggest challenges for me personally has been learning everything from scratch. I don’t come from a background in business, marketing, or social media at all, so there has been a huge learning curve in figuring out how to run and grow a company. I genuinely never pictured myself as someone who would one day own a business, so stepping into this role has stretched me in so many ways.

Another major challenge was balancing two essentially full-time jobs over the past year. I was working my occupational therapy job Monday through Thursday from 8:00–4:30, then spending most weekends shooting weddings — sometimes even two or three in a single weekend. On top of that, I was editing content almost every evening after work. It was exhausting at times, and there were definitely moments where I felt stretched thin, but looking back, I’m so grateful for the season of hard work because it’s been incredibly rewarding to see it all pay off.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Veil Club is a DFW-based wedding content creation company that captures the candid, emotional, behind-the-scenes moments couples might otherwise miss on their wedding day. We specialize in iPhone wedding content creation with next-day raw content delivery, allowing our couples to relive their wedding almost immediately while they wait for their professional galleries and films. Our goal is simple: to help couples fully live in the moment while knowing every meaningful memory is being preserved.

What really sets The Veil Club apart is the experience we create in addition to the content itself. I always tell people I’m not just there to film — I’m there to serve. I become an extra set of hands, a hype girl, a calming presence, and someone couples can genuinely rely on throughout the day. Whether that’s fluffing a dress, fixing a veil, carrying details to the photographer, helping keep the timeline moving, or capturing emotional little moments no one else notices, I care deeply about making the entire experience feel personal and intentional.

I think another thing that makes us different is the style of content we create. We focus heavily on authentic storytelling rather than overly curated or heavily edited trends. We want couples to look back and feel exactly how the day felt — the happy tears, shaky hands during vows, sweet family interactions, laughter with friends, all the little in-between moments that go by so quickly. The content is candid, emotional, timeless, and true to each couple.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that The Veil Club has been built with heart and the light and love of Jesus from day one. It started as a completely unexpected opportunity and has grown primarily through relationships, word of mouth, and genuine connection. I’m incredibly proud that clients often say they felt like they gained a friend through the experience, not just hired another vendor. Creating a brand that feels warm, trustworthy, joyful, and service-oriented has always been more important to me than simply capturing and creating content.

I’m also proud of how quickly the business has grown in such a short amount of time. What started in summer 2024 as one random wedding has now grown into a full-time business serving couples across Texas and beyond, with a growing team and 40+ weddings already booked for 2026.

Most importantly, I want people to know that The Veil Club is about more than social media content. It’s about preserving memories that matter most. Wedding days move so quickly, and it’s such an honor to give couples the ability to relive those moments over and over again for years to come. Joyful, raw, intentional. That’s The Veil Club.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I don’t naturally think of myself as a huge risk-taker, honestly. I’ve always been someone who likes stability, structure, and having a plan — which is probably part of why I originally chose a career in healthcare as an occupational therapist. But I’ve learned that sometimes the biggest growth comes from being willing to step into something uncertain, even before you feel fully ready.

Starting The Veil Club was definitely a major risk for me. And I am feeling that risk even most so now that I am taking this business full time. Because I have no entrepreneurship, and because wedding content creation itself was still so new to the industry when I started, I was learning everything as I went while simultaneously trying to build credibility, connections, and a brand from the ground up. There have been a lot of moments where I questioned whether I was capable of actually turning it into something sustainable (the impostor syndrome is SO real and still something I struggle with daily).

I think one of the biggest risks I took was continuing to pour time, money, and energy into the business long before it was consistently profitable. I invested in branding, website development, travel, education, networking, and portfolio building while still working my full-time job.

Another huge leap was eventually (as of literally this week — May 2026) leaving my full-time occupational therapy career to pursue The Veil Club full time. That was not a decision I took lightly because there’s a lot of security that comes with a traditional career path (consistent paychecks, healthcare, etc). But after seeing the growth of the business and feeling strongly that this was where the Lord was leading me, I knew I had to fully commit if I wanted to continue scaling the company and serving couples well.
My perspective on risk now is that some risks are worth taking when they align with your purpose, values, and long-term vision. I don’t think risk-taking has to look reckless or impulsive. For me, it has looked more like being willing to step forward faithfully even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. There’s always uncertainty involved in building something of your own, but I’ve learned that growth usually exists on the other side of comfort.

Looking back, every risk I was scared to take ended up becoming part of the story that brought The Veil Club to where it is today, and I’m really grateful I didn’t let fear keep me from trying.
