Hi Leexangelie , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in cosmetology school. I wanted to be a hair stylist, I have always had a passion for beauty. Hair was something that I loved and enjoyed doing. I wanted to build my business on that. Right before I graduated cosmetology school and got my license I started to get interested in eyelash extensions. I took a course and quickly fell in love with it all. My fiancé Sergio was very supportive of my dreams and helped me get started and believed in my future. I started to take clients for hair and for lashes! I saw the demand for lashes was much more than for hair so I started to shift my business. I have been working for myself and by myself since 2020. I knew one day I wanted to be more than a lash artist, but just didn’t know where to start. My sister Rose was really intrigued with the lash industry so she decided to take her qualifications and start her business as well! I helped teach my sister all that I know to help gain her confidence in the lash industry. After about 2 years of my sister doing lashes we had an idea of bringing our forces together and creating a brand that was ours. We kept the Lioness Beauty name but we changed our mindset , appearance and overrall vision of what we wanted our business to succeed too. We are now mentoring and teaching future lash artists to reach their potential! We have ebooks and online mentoring for continued education. We believe that every person should feel confident when entering the lash industry and we know that having two mentors like us who have been through the ups and downs can help all that are seeking to have success and flourish in their journey. We owe all of our successes and ideas to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ who has continued to show us that we are on the right path of achieving education and achievable goals to all new comers!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth! There have been many downs before there were ups. I started on my own and had to teach myself how to perfect my craft. I owe it all to my amazing clients who continually return to me even from the beginning! Their belief in me helped me gain my confidence and really keep pushing to be the best that I could be.
I started my business in 2020 within that time frame I have been pregnant twice! I have two beautiful daughters but it has been no easy task working and having babies! I keep reminding myself they are only babies once and it won’t always be this hectic. But they do keep me on my toes! Being a mother has made me work 10x harder to make sure I am present and I am also setting an example.
So to sum it up it has not been smooth but it has been worth it! And it ain’t over yet!

Our business is based on educating and certifying students to learn all things lashes and also learn how to have a faith based business. We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I have always said I have had bad luck 😅 but that was just my efforts! If I really put my mind and my hard work into something and it still does not work out , that is only because it was not in Gods plan for me at that time.
I don’t consider myself a lucky person, but I would consider myself blessed. Blessed in the aspect that I have a healthy body , my daughters are happy and healthy , my business is growing and I have all the essentials I need to keep moving and grooving everyday.
