Today we’d like to introduce you to Nallely Banda.
Hi Nallely, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Nallely Banda I am a wife and a mother of three beautiful babies. My business is honey mist sugaring! I have been doing sugaring hair removal since the year of 2015. I got into this business without knowing what I really wanted to do with my life; I migrated to the US when I was very young; growing up, I knew that I wanted to make my parents proud I wanted to live what is “ the American dream” I didn’t think that college was an option for me financially and because of my legal status, finishing a few years after high school I became legal in the US I knew that I did not want to work for anyone and I have always known that god has a purpose for me in this life, I started my sugaring business with a business partner that was great and all but we both wanted our own, so that’s what we did I renamed my business to what is now HONEY MIST SUGARING. I can’t believe I have now been doing sugaring hair removal for 8 whole years now! I love bringing confidence in my clients. I took a small break after having my babies, but I am back, and I am ready to add on all of the guru trends to my small business; I said to myself let’s stop being scared of who we are meant to be. And the success that comes with it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s defined been a bumpy road along the way, along with lots of discouraging moments. It easy to feel at your all-time high when you’re a small business owner, then bam something can just crash that high. Example, there’s been times where I feel like one week, I can be fully booked with clients the next there’s no clients, things like that is what has made me doubt, but I have came to realize that’s how it is in the business world. As a Latina women were taught by our ancestors that we as women are meant to be stay-at-home wives, and it got hard after getting married and having babies. Deciding if being a stay-at-home mom was what I really wanted. Or If I really was willing to give up on my dreams to stay home and raise my kids. But thankfully god blessed me with a supportive husband who knows that running my business and going to work is what makes me happy, and he wants a happy wife, and my kids need me to happy.
We’ve been impressed with Honey mist sugaring, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in sugaring hair removal. What is sugaring? The sugar paste is made of just three simple ingredients: sugar, lemon juice, and water. “There’s nothing inorganic in the sugar paste. It tastes like a citrusy cotton candy, and it’s edible,”
I do full body hair removal, but my most popular service is the Brazilian.
I work for self. I am the only one doing the service; for such a private area, you don’t want to just jump from one place to another; I build relationships with my clients, I’m not only their esthetician but their therapists as well I would say.
I also am getting started on doing eyebrow lamination. I am trying to bring on more beauty trends it my salon. Only the best ones. I am also doing trying course I do 1•1 training course and hope to start doing group training pretty soon.
