Hidden Gems: Meet Tamica Cueto of Mica’s MeMUURRRable MUURRRch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamica Cueto.

Hi Tamica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my business in 2022 after my granny passed away. My family was going through a really emotional time, and they wanted shirts for the repass. I didn’t have all the tools or experience at the time, but I figured out a way to make them happen.
When I saw how much those shirts meant to everyone and how they brought comfort and connection, I realized I wasn’t just making something to wear. I was creating something people could hold onto. That moment showed me this was something I wanted to keep building.

I’ve always been someone who holds onto memories. I still have keepsakes from years ago, and my kids even have memory boxes that are already filling up. So for me, this business is about creating things people don’t want to throw away. Even if it gets worn or faded over time, it still holds meaning. It becomes something you keep, something that brings comfort, something that reminds you of a moment or a person. That’s what drives me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my biggest challenges has been balancing a full-time job, family responsibilities, and building my business at the same time.

I’ve also had to be very resourceful financially, which has taught me how to build step-by-step and really prioritize what matters.

It hasn’t been perfect, but it’s made me more disciplined, more intentional, and more focused on building something sustainable instead of rushing the process.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business sits at the intersection of creativity, healing, and family legacy. I create custom merchandise, memorial items, and community-minded events that help people honor their loved ones, celebrate their stories, and stay connected across generations. My work grew from a place of wanting to preserve the people and moments that matter most, especially during times when families need comfort or a reminder that they are not alone. Everything I create is intentional, personal, and designed to carry meaning long after the moment has passed. My brand serves as a bridge between memory, celebration, family, and community support.

What makes my business unique is the heart behind it. I don’t just create merchandise; I create meaning. Every design, every memorial item, every event is built with intention, healing, and legacy in mind. Families come to me because they want something that reflects who they are, what they’ve experienced, and who they’re trying to become. My work bridges creativity with emotional support, honoring loved ones, celebrating important moments, and strengthening families across generations. Very few businesses offer custom products, memorial services, emotional connection, and community support all under one brand, and that combination is what sets me apart.

My business is in a powerful early-growth stage. I’ve spent the foundational period learning, building my systems, creating designs, testing products, and serving families through memorial work and custom merchandise. Now I am expanding into structured offerings, routine events, and broader community programs. I’ve laid the groundwork and I’m growing steadily, preparing to scale in a way that supports long-term impact and generational stability.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
My personal background shaped my mission through lived experiences. Family unity, financial challenges, moments of loss, and the need to create what I couldn’t afford. My journey taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of preserving memories. Everything I’ve lived through guides me to serve families in a way that feels genuine, comforting, and meaningful.
