I started Dangskyn with very little, but with a clear vision.
I’m a licensed esthetician based in Dallas, Texas, and I went straight into building my own studio right after finishing school. I didn’t have the safety net most people wait for. I just knew I wanted to do things differently.
Early on, I noticed a pattern. Clients were trying everything for their skin, especially acne, but nothing was truly working long-term. They were overwhelmed, constantly switching products, and losing confidence in the process. That pushed me to focus on corrective skincare instead of quick fixes.
I built Dangskyn as a corrective skincare clinic in North Dallas, specializing in acne treatment, skin barrier repair, and long-term skin health. Everything I do is structured around understanding the root cause of skin concerns and guiding clients through a consistent process that actually works.
Over time, that approach built trust. I’ve been recognized as a Dermascope Favorite Licensed Esthetician in 2025, and Dangskyn has been awarded Best Skincare Clinic in both 2025 and 2026.
Today, Dangskyn is more than just a treatment space. It’s a place where clients finally understand their skin, see real progress, and feel confident again.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
Starting Dangskyn right after school meant stepping into business with very little stability. I was learning how to build a brand, manage clients, and deliver real results all at the same time. There were moments where I questioned if I made the right decision, especially in the beginning when growth was slow and everything depended on me.
One of the biggest challenges was staying true to a corrective skincare approach in an industry that often promotes quick fixes. It would have been easier to follow trends or offer services that bring faster cash, but I knew that wasn’t the standard I wanted to build.
There were also financial pressures, slow seasons, and times where I had to make difficult decisions just to keep moving forward.
But those challenges forced me to become more disciplined, more intentional, and more confident in what I offer. Over time, consistency built trust, and trust built Dangskyn into what it is today.
