Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Agbor.
Hi Brian, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started with a passion for creativity, presentation, and understanding how style can influence confidence. Long before The Dapper Men Company became a recognized luxury menswear brand, I was already drawn to the details of fashion, design, and the way a well-tailored look could completely transform someone’s presence. What began as a creative interest gradually evolved into a deeper purpose centered around helping people feel elevated, confident, and intentional in how they present themselves to the world.
As I continued developing my craft, I realized I didn’t want to create a traditional suit company focused only on clothing. I wanted to build an experience. From the beginning, my vision was to create a brand that blended luxury fashion, personal branding, culture, and confidence into one customized experience. That mindset became the foundation of The Dapper Men Company.
Like many entrepreneurs, the journey came with challenges and growing pains. There were seasons where I had to wear every hat — creative director, stylist, marketer, coordinator, event planner, and business strategist — while still finding ways to grow the brand with limited resources. Those moments taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of consistency. I learned how to build relationships, create opportunities through networking, and stay committed to the vision even during uncertain moments.
Over time, the brand began expanding beyond custom menswear into community experiences, luxury events, collaborations, and philanthropic initiatives. One of the most meaningful evolutions has been the creation of the Dapper Promise Foundation, where we focus on empowering underserved students and young professionals through mentorship, confidence-building opportunities, professional development, and formalwear experiences. Being able to combine fashion with purpose has added an entirely new layer of meaning to what I do.
Today, I continue to grow The Dapper Men Company as both a luxury fashion brand and a platform centered around confidence, empowerment, and culture. Whether I’m designing custom pieces, hosting upscale events in Dallas, mentoring young creatives, or building community partnerships, the mission remains the same: helping people step into the best version of themselves with confidence and purpose.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road, but I believe a lot of growth comes from navigating the difficult seasons. One of the biggest challenges was building a luxury brand from the ground up while simultaneously trying to establish credibility, consistency, and visibility in a competitive industry. In the early stages, there are many moments where you are investing more into the vision than you are receiving back financially, emotionally, or even publicly. You have to learn how to stay committed before the recognition arrives.
Another challenge was learning how to balance creativity with business. As a designer, your natural focus is creating and innovating, but entrepreneurship requires you to also understand operations, branding, marketing, customer experience, leadership, finances, and long-term strategy. There were seasons where I had to teach myself many things in real time while still maintaining a high standard for my clients and the brand overall.
I also faced challenges related to scaling and wearing multiple hats. When you truly care about your work, it becomes easy to overextend yourself trying to ensure every detail is perfect. There were moments where I had to learn the importance of structure, delegation, boundaries, and protecting my own creativity from burnout. Growth forces you to evolve not just professionally, but personally as well.
Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve also experienced setbacks, disappointments, partnerships that did not align, and moments where things did not go according to plan. However, those moments taught me resilience and discernment. They helped sharpen my vision and reminded me to remain adaptable without compromising the integrity of the brand.
What helped me push through those obstacles was keeping the bigger purpose in mind. The Dapper Men Company was never just about suits for me — it was about confidence, empowerment, culture, and creating meaningful experiences. That deeper purpose is also what inspired the growth of the Dapper Promise Foundation and the community impact side of the brand.
Looking back, I’m grateful for the challenges because they built the discipline, perspective, and resilience needed to continue growing both as a creative and as a leader.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Dapper Men Company?
The name of my business is The Dapper Men Company, a luxury custom menswear and lifestyle brand based in Dallas, Texas. We specialize in custom suits, tuxedos, elevated formalwear, and personalized styling experiences designed to help clients feel confident, refined, and intentional in how they present themselves.
What makes our brand unique is that we focus on much more than simply creating clothing. We create experiences. Every client journey is personalized around their vision, personality, lifestyle, and occasion. Whether we are designing for weddings, galas, corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, Greek life celebrations, or luxury social events, we approach every detail with creativity and purpose. From fabric selection to styling consultations, the goal is always to create a look that feels timeless while still making a statement.
I believe what truly sets The Dapper Men Company apart is the combination of luxury fashion, storytelling, and culture. Many brands focus only on trends, but we focus heavily on confidence, presentation, and identity. I want clients to walk away feeling elevated not only by what they are wearing, but by the overall experience and energy attached to the brand. We pride ourselves on creating pieces that feel personal, sophisticated, and memorable.
Over the years, the brand has also evolved into something much bigger than fashion alone. Through upscale networking experiences, charity galas, collaborations, and community initiatives, we’ve built a platform that blends style with impact. One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to connect the brand with purpose through the Dapper Promise Foundation, where we focus on empowering underserved students and young professionals through mentorship, professional development, confidence-building opportunities, and formalwear experiences.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the culture and reputation we’ve built. Many of our clients become long-term supporters because they genuinely connect with the vision behind the company. They understand that The Dapper Men Company is not just about looking good for one event — it’s about embracing confidence, professionalism, elegance, and self-expression as a lifestyle.
I want readers to know that our brand is built on intentionality, creativity, and authenticity. Whether someone is preparing for one of the biggest moments of their life or simply wants to elevate their everyday presentation, we strive to make every experience feel luxurious, empowering, and unforgettable.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
One thing I would love readers to know is that success, creativity, and confidence all start with believing in your vision even before everyone else understands it. A large part of my journey has been about building something authentic that reflects not only luxury fashion, but also purpose, culture, and community impact.
Through The Dapper Men Company, I’ve been fortunate to connect with incredible clients, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who all value growth, presentation, and meaningful experiences. What continues to inspire me is seeing how fashion can become a tool for confidence and transformation. Sometimes the right look, the right environment, or the right opportunity can completely shift how someone sees themselves.
I also want readers to know that I’m passionate about creating spaces and experiences that bring people together. Whether through luxury events, collaborations, mentorship, or our work with the Dapper Promise Foundation, the mission has always been bigger than clothing alone. It’s about empowering people to walk confidently in who they are while creating opportunities for the next generation as well.
As the brand continues to grow, I’m excited about expanding our reach, strengthening community partnerships, and continuing to redefine what luxury menswear experiences can look like in Dallas and beyond. This is only the beginning, and I’m grateful for everyone who has supported the journey so far.
