Today we’d like to introduce you to Bridgette Ivers.
Hi Bridgette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Steelview in 2024 after years of working as an interior designer for custom home builders and running my own renovation company. Many of my clients were asking for sleek, modern black metal and glass doors—front entries, sliding patio doors, and custom wine enclosures—that were hard to source locally.
I saw the gap in the market and decided to fill it. My first project was in Southampton, NY, and from there, Steelview Doors quickly gained momentum. Today, we have multiple projects in progress in the Hamptons, while continuing to grow in Frisco, Texas, where my design studio, Designer Haus, and renovation company are based.
Now, I work directly with homeowners and custom builders, providing premium steel doors and windows for both interior and exterior spaces—bringing form, function, and architectural impact to every project.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far, it’s been a relatively smooth road with Steelview. I wouldn’t say we’ve faced major challenges, but there are always a few things to navigate. One potential issue in this industry is tariffs on imported materials. Fortunately, our steel frames are made in Italy and assembled in Atlanta, and we’ve made a firm decision not to pass any tariff-related costs onto our clients.
The biggest “challenge” we’ve faced is actually positive—demand has exceeded our initial expectations. That said, we’re committed to quality over quantity and only bring on team members who meet our high standards. Growth is exciting, but maintaining craftsmanship and service is non-negotiable for us.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about SteelView Doors?
Steelview is a design-forward company specializing in custom steel and glass doors and windows for both residential and commercial spaces. We focus on high-end, modern aesthetics—think black metal front doors, sliding patio systems, wine enclosures, and interior partitions that add architectural impact. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, with our steel frames made in Italy and assembled in Atlanta to ensure both quality and consistency.
What sets us apart is our commitment to design integrity, client experience, and craftsmanship. We’re not a volume business—we work closely with homeowners, designers, and builders who care about detail, and we only take on projects where we can maintain the high standard we’ve built our name on.
What I’m most proud of is the way we’ve grown through trust and word of mouth. We’re a young brand, but our reputation is already strong in places like Southampton, NY and Frisco, TX because we truly listen to our clients and deliver a tailored product that enhances their space.
Above all, I want people to know that Steelview is more than a product—it’s a collaborative design partner. We’re here to help bring a vision to life with doors and windows that are as functional as they are beautiful.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Absolutely—success is never a solo effort. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the support of some key people along the way. My mentor, Kim Siegel, has been in the industry for over 20 years and has generously shared her deep knowledge and insight. Her guidance has been invaluable as I’ve navigated the early stages of building Steelview.
I also owe a huge amount of credit to my clients—many of whom trusted me from the beginning and believed in the vision. And of course, my team and other designers at Designer Haus and Legacy Renovations has played a huge role in our growth. Their dedication, creativity, and high standards are a big part of what sets us apart and allows us to deliver such exceptional work.
