Inspiring Conversations with Carlos Navarro of CN Taekwondo Olympic Academy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Navarro

Hi Carlos, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Carlos Navarro, im the owner of CN Taekwondo Olympic Academy based in Plano, Texas.

I’m an Olympian and former World #1 in the sport of taekwondo. I started Taekwondo at the age of 5 years old and have done it all of my life.

My family and I moved to north Dallas from Mexico when I was 9 years old.

I have always had the passion for this sport, and decided to open my new studio in Plano, Texas to share my knowledge and inspire the new generation of students that would like to start in taekwondo.

Taekwondo is a sport where the values of discipline, respect, courage, focus, and fitness all mix together. It is a great foundation for kids to develop, not just in taekwondo , but in all aspects of life.

At our studio, everyone is welcomed. We want to spread this amazing sport and its values to kids, teens, and adults. From beginners to the highest level Olympic Athletes.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a long road to opening my first studio, but happy to have finally opened. We are very happy and grateful to be a part of this amazing community in this incredible city!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our studio is open to all ages and all levels. From beginners all the way to high performance athletes.

We have programs for everyone, traditional taekwondo and Olympic sparring taekwondo. Also, for a more laid back approach at our sport we have adult fitness classes which is perfect for keeping in shape while learning some cool kicks in a relaxed and fun environment.

Besides having our studio as our main location, we also partner with Pre schools and and elementary schools to have our classes within their own facilities! We have had great success with this approach as well, due to our high quality classes and great instructors!

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Taekwondo, because o have seen first hand what a positive sport can do to people lives.
