Today we’d like to introduce you to Corina Alexander.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey has been rooted in a simple belief: people deserve spaces where they feel safe enough to heal, grow, and be themselves.
I have always been someone who cared deeply about people and community. Over the years, that passion led me down many paths. I became a mother, pursued higher education, worked in community-based organizations, and immersed myself in wellness practices that supported my own healing and self-discovery. Along the way, I began noticing a common thread. So many people were carrying stress, grief, responsibility, and life transitions, often without the support or space to process it all.
As I continued my own wellness journey, I found myself drawn to practices like yoga, mindfulness, herbal wellness, journaling, and community healing circles. What began as personal self-care gradually evolved into something much bigger. Friends, family members, and community members started reaching out for guidance, support, and opportunities to connect. I realized there was a need for wellness experiences that felt accessible, authentic, and culturally relevant.
That realization led me to create Cori Cares, The Feel Good Wellness Brand. Through Cori Cares, I create workshops, wellness experiences, products, and community-centered spaces designed to help people reconnect with themselves and one another. Whether it is a healing circle, a yoga session, a confidence-building event, or a simple self-care conversation, my goal is to help people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
At the same time, I have continued serving my community through peer support and advocacy work. Those experiences have reinforced something I believe wholeheartedly: wellness is not just about individual self-care. It is also about community care. When people have support, resources, and opportunities to thrive, entire communities benefit.
Today, I wear many hats: entrepreneur, wellness advocate, graduate student, peer supporter, speaker, and mother. While each role is different, they are all connected by the same mission. I want to help create spaces where people can show up as they are, prioritize their well-being, and remember that they do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
One of my favorite sayings is, “We’ve all heard hurt people hurt people. I like to say healed people heal people.” That belief continues to guide both my personal journey and the work I do every day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has been anything but linear.
There have been seasons of growth, uncertainty, learning, and rebuilding. Like many entrepreneurs, I have had moments where I questioned myself and wondered if I was doing enough. At the same time, every challenge has helped me become more aligned with my purpose.
One thing I have learned is that healing and success are not destinations. They are ongoing practices. I am still growing. I am still learning. I am still becoming.
I think that perspective allows me to connect with people authentically because I am not presenting myself as someone who has it all figured out. I am simply someone who is committed to doing the work and helping others do the same.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I create spaces for people to feel good. That can look a lot of different ways, but at the heart of it, that is what I do.
Through Cori Cares, I create wellness experiences for individuals, community groups, and organizations. My work includes healing circles, yoga and mindfulness experiences, self-care workshops, confidence-building events, and corporate wellness programming designed to support employee well-being and workplace culture.
What sets me apart is my authenticity. I am not trying to present a perfect version of wellness or position myself as someone who has all the answers. I show up as myself, and I create spaces where others can do the same. People connect with that honesty.
I also believe wellness should feel special. One of my favorite things is creating experiences that feel both healing and luxurious. Whether I am hosting a community event or a corporate wellness workshop, I pay attention to the details that make people feel cared for. I want people to walk into a space and immediately feel welcomed, valued, and worthy of the experience. There is something powerful about being reminded that you deserve beautiful things and intentional care.
I am known for bringing people together and creating environments where meaningful connections can happen naturally. Some of my favorite moments are watching strangers become a community, seeing someone let their guard down, or hearing someone say, “I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”
What I am most proud of is the impact of those experiences. The confidence people gain. The conversations that continue after the event is over. The reminder that wellness does not have to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with feeling seen, feeling supported and giving yourself permission to receive care.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think we’re going to see people craving more authentic connection and community.
Over the last several years, wellness has become a multi-billion-dollar industry. While that has made wellness more visible, it has also made some aspects of it feel overwhelming, performative, or out of reach for everyday people. I believe the future of wellness will be less about perfection and more about connection.
People are looking for spaces where they can be honest about what they’re experiencing, whether that’s stress, burnout, grief, anxiety, life transitions, or simply trying to balance it all. They want support that feels real and accessible.
I also think we’ll continue to see a greater emphasis on mental and emotional well-being, not just physical health. More organizations are beginning to recognize that wellness is not a luxury or an employee perk. It is directly connected to productivity, retention, engagement, and overall quality of life. As a result, I believe corporate wellness will continue to grow, but hopefully in ways that are more intentional and human centered.
Another shift I see is the growing demand for culturally relevant wellness spaces. People want to see themselves reflected in the wellness experiences they participate in. They want facilitators who understand their lived experiences and communities that feel welcoming and inclusive.
Personally, I hope we continue moving toward a model where wellness and community care go hand in hand. Individual self-care is important, but healing does not happen in isolation. We need spaces where people can learn, connect, be supported, and grow together.
If I had to sum it up, I think the future of wellness is less about doing more and more about being more connected, to ourselves, to our communities, and to what truly helps us thrive.
