Inspiring Conversations with Deontae Ingram of The Rae Ingram Investment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deontae Ingram.

Hi Deontae, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am Deontae Ingram a licensed realtor and real estate investor. I have been a licensed real estate agent since December 2020 for one of the top brokerages in North Texas. I also own my own real estate investment company, The Rae Ingram Investment LLC, which was founded in December of 2020 with the idea of turning nothing into something. The foundation of my business was built with the prayers and mental support of my family, along with countless days/nights of educating myself on my craft. In July of 2021, I was able to close on the purchase of my 1st of many investment properties, located at 1426 S Beckley Avenue, Dallas, Tx 75224. The building of my business was not at all easy and trying to get an offer accepted on my 1st investment property was the most challenging obstacle I have faced thus far, but well worth it. I believed I was abandoned by God because for a moment, all I experienced were oppositions. Closed door after closed door was becoming debilitating to my spirit and I needed help from the source, God. My line of communication with God is through my dreams, and in those dream, I have always received my next plan of action. The steps I take in real estate and in my life are orders by Him and Him alone. The countless and restless nights were frequent due to how vivid the dreams I had experienced. In the dreams everything that I wanted happened with ease, however, the pace of my reality was not aligned with my dreams. I wanted nothing more than to see my dreams come to fruition, so I worked day in and day out. I mentally felt like I was trying to get a push start on a car to go uphill. Although the push uphill was tiring, it taught me perseverance, and because I chose to persevere, God opened a door designed distinctly for me. When I closed on my 1st investment property, I knew it was the breakthrough and confirmation I was seeking from God. The passion for what I have done and will do is fueling my purpose, and with Him I will never stop.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With being a real estate investor and not being wealthy, yet, it was definitely hard starting this process. I truly went for broke with my 1st investment. Any money I had saved or made from representing clients as an agent, I put it into my investment company. I also didn’t financially start my business alone, I used my resources, one being my big sister, she gave me a nice penny to investment into myself because she believed in my dream.

It was also challenging to get an offer accepted in this market because I had to work on a strict budget. In the real estate market right now, there has been a lot of bidding wars and not enough inventory but a lot of buyers willing to pay whatever for a property, so I also had to compete against them but on budget.

We’ve been impressed with The Rae Ingram Investment LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in any type of real estate investing (fix & flip, mortgage loan take-over, short-term rentals, rentals, wholesale, pre-foreclosures, etc.) I also am a licensed realtor, so I do represent clients in purchases of their personal homes or investment properties.

I believe what sets me apart from others is my level of discipline and commitment to myself. The goals I set for me aren’t just ideas of manifestation that I want to come out of thin air, I do the work.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is, it’s something I built from nothing and it carries my name and it’s only going to appreciate in value.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is being able to live life with no regrets. I don’t want to be an old woman and think back on my life saying, “I wish I did this…” and then it’s too late.
