Inspiring Conversations with Dominique Jones of Relentless Love Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Jones.

Dominique, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m originally from South Louisiana, but in 2005, Hurricane Katrina transplanted me to Houston, TX. I always say that the storm turned my world “right side up.” I was 21 years old and thought I had it all figured out, but I was overwhelmed by life and headed down the wrong career path! It was the awakening I needed to break out to the rat race of life and begin a path of self discovery. While in Houston, I battled with depression because my world came to a screeching halt: no school, no work, and left alone with thoughts of discontentment. I finally found peace and freedom when I fell in love with Jesus, who awakened my true passions and purpose in life. Two years later, I found my soul mate, Brockne Jones, and after a fast and furious courtship (having met in January and started dating in May), we moved to the Dallas area in August and were married in September 2009.

We wasted no time in starting a family (May 2009), and not too long after we became business and ministry partners as well. In 2011 we started ASAINT Music, LLC and cofounded a nonprofit called the TransformUs Movement in 2013. TransformUs recently celebrated 10 years of “breaking barriers and building bridges to better underserved communities,” and the incredible impact of tens of thousands of lives in the DFW metroplex and 7 nations across the globe. Through TransformUs, my husband and I were able to marry our passions for music, missions, and mentorship. We tapped into something that most couples never experience: walking in passion and purpose together!

In 2019, when we relocated to Arlington, where we recognized a gap in the community for mentoring young adults. As young adults, we struggled to navigate major life decisions without much guidance, so my husband and I were determined to leverage our strengths, talents, and resources to help these at-risk young adults discover and live out their purpose. We offered life skills training, professional development, and free counseling. If we could catch these young adults before they marry and start a career, they are less likely to bring the same dysfunction into their marriages and families. After 6 years of this community service, we realized that there are grown men and women who also needed the same empowerment, so my husband and I set out to provide life, business and marriage coaching.

In 2023, we were certified as Marriage Mediators through XO Marriage, the most respected faith-based marriage ministry in the world. The vision for Relentless Love Coaching was born that same year– now we were able to bring all of our experiences full circle to help bring out the best in our clients, no matter what obstacles they face in life, marriage, or businesss. Since then, we’ve been able to help hundreds of couples and individuals through our coaching, marriage intensives, webinars, podcast, and speaking engagements. In 2023 and 2024 (respectively), my husband and I were recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 in the City of Arlington because of the work we’ve done over the years to serve our commmunity. We launched as a dynamic duo, but after Brockne’s untimely passing in April 2025– at the ripe age of 39, I am determined to keep pressing forward as a solo act– carrying our shared vision forward.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There is never a straight path toward success, and it certainly hasn’t been smooth for me. In our first couple of years of marriage, we were separated twice and on the verge of divorce. We lost a child in year 5; a stillbirth at 32 weeks gestation. (I actually released a 21-day devotional about this experience in May 2024 talking about the loss of our second child and how that experience shaped my life for the better. ). This loss forged our marriage in a way that set us up for success in everything that followed. We would not have become the “dynamic duo” that we were apart from that hardship. It was the same year that we launched TransformUs Movement, so we used the adversity to push us forward in our purpose instead of holding us back.

Early on in our marriage, we made a commitment to never let business compromise the quality of life for our family. We also said that one of us would stay home with the children, to ensure that we could have the greatest influence in our kids’ lives. Although it takes on different forms, we have homeschooled our three children since the beginning. This is all while trying to launch a business and a grassroots nonprofit at the same time. Needless to say, there has always been a constant juggling act and financial strain with only one salary coming in at a time. Thankfully, we have been able to live solely off the business income since 2023.

After finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and hitting a beautiful stride in or business, the peace and euphoria was disrupted by my husband’s untimely death. The hardships that followed could have threatened our family dynamic and our businesses, but thankfully we practice what we preach to our clients, so we had plans in place that made it easy to navigate. My kids and I are thriving in the midst of our darkest hour! The biggest challenge, honestly, was the financial hit from stopping the business operation totally for almost a year. However, God has provided time and time again, so there has never been a reason to fear or worry. My biggest challenge currently is re-establishing the branding and marketing, pivoting from the face as a dynamic duo to a one-woman show– both the emotional and logistical toll that it takes to execute.

All that to say, as a small business owner and grassroots nonprofit cofounder, I understand the challenges of successfully launching or scaling an organization or business with limited resources and a lack of strategic guidance or support. These trials are what shaped me into a resilient business owner, a strong leader, and an impactful coach. I’ve walked through so many fires (and continue to do so) without being deterred from the great work that I am called to do! If not for my faith in Jesus, there is no way that I would have had the grace, strength, or wisdom to endure half of it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Relentless Love Coaching ?
MISSION:
As an author, speaker, and life/marriage coach, my personal mission is to empower people to unlock their God given potential, experience a limitless life, and leave an impactful legacy. The common denominator in all of my business ventures is “building’: Building people, building strong marriages, and strong families so that communities can thrive.

RLC is the avenue by which all of these passions converge and come full circle. Relentless Love Coaching was established to help couples pursue passion and purpose in marriage, but after my husband’s passing, I decided to bring the life and business coaching under the same umbrella. Strong marriages are the cornerstone of thriving communities, but we recognize that it takes two healthy and whole individuals to make a marriage work! I now offer personal, group and business coaching services to primarily women, and I primarily target women who need to gain confidence, clarity, and control over their lives and careers.

OUR “RELENTELESS LOVE STORY”

Founders Brockne and Dominique were married for almost 17 years, overcoming separation, near-divorce, and loss among other complexities of marriage. Their story is one rooted in perseverance, grace, healing, and purpose. Their love was refined into a dynamic partnership, with a shared vision to help others break through barriers and unlock their full potential. After the untimely passing of her beloved husband, Dominique is committed to continuing their life’s work: empowering individuals and couples to “relentlessly pursue passion and purpose in life and marriage.”

Dominique brings over 15 years of nonprofit and ministry leadership, entrepreneurship, training, and mentoring experience to her coaching practice. As a widow and single mother, she understands the real-world challenges of balancing life, parenting, careers, health, and faith while striving to keep marriage a top priority. At Relentless Love Coaching, we firmly believe that couples can cultivate a passionate and purpose-driven marriage, regardless of life’s obstacles.

WHAT’S NEXT:
The brevity of life is more apparent than it ever was, so I’m working feverishly at writing and developing curriculum to ensure that our life’s work will live on and continue to make an impact. As we speak, I am working toward publishing the curriculum for the mentorship program as well as the group coaching that we offer for men and women. My goal is to launch an on-demand online course for the group coaching program so that more women (and eventually men) will be able to access it at their convenience. Beyond that, I hope to finish a writing project that my late husband started, to make sure men don’t miss out on all the wisdom and life experience he had yet to share.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
First and foremost, I would share this scripture verse that brought me assurance from the beginning and definitely throughout the dry seasons and the hardship:

Proverbs 16:3:
“Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. The Lord works everything together to accomplish his purpose”

I encourage my coaching clients with these reminders:

1. If it’s worth starting, it’s worth fighting for– Never give up!

2. The first 2 years are always tough, but the WHY will keep you moving forward

3. Pace Yourself! Most people are not early adopters, so you might have to carry the vision on your own for a while. Eventually, the help and resources will come!

4. Stay consistent and keep showing up. “Slow and steady wins the race”

5. Do what you love, the money will follow!

6. Don’t measure success merely in numbers, but also the impact or difference you make

7. “Relationships are the currency of God’s Kingdom” (He blesses us through people and not always with money, but with connections, wisdom, favor and other resources we might need). Building relationships and a strong network is one of your greatest assets.
