Inspiring Conversations with Jamis Cary Faithe Williams of The Divine Edit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamis Cary Faithe Williams.

Hi Jamis Cary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Divine Edit was born from a shared vision between two creatives who believed branding should feel deeper than aesthetics alone. Before becoming co-founders, we both spent years building independently in creative industries; developing brands, directing visuals, creating content, and helping businesses find clarity in how they present themselves to the world. But over time, we realized so many brands were missing the connection between strategy, storytelling, and impactful visuals.

That realization led us to create The Divine Edit, a creative agency rooted in intentionality, vision, and transformation. We wanted to build something that didn’t just make brands look beautiful, but helped them feel aligned, elevated, and unforgettable. Our work blends brand strategy, creative direction, campaign development, and visual storytelling to help businesses communicate who they truly are in a way that resonates deeply with their audience.
What makes our journey special is that The Divine Edit was built from both faith and experience. We’ve each walked through seasons of entrepreneurship that taught us resilience, creativity, adaptability, and the importance of purpose-led work. Those experiences shaped the way we approach every client and every project today.

Since launching, we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with brands across beauty, fashion, wellness, and lifestyle industries, helping them move from scattered ideas to cohesive identities with intention behind every detail. At its core, The Divine Edit is about creating work that not only looks elevated, but leaves a lasting impact.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, and honestly, we think that’s what shaped The Divine Edit into what it is today. Building a creative business comes with a lot of unseen challenges, especially when you’re trying to create something intentional rather than just follow trends.

One of the biggest struggles was learning how to trust our vision, even when it looked different from what everyone else was doing. In a world that moves fast and rewards constant output, we’ve had to stay grounded in building work that feels meaningful, strategic, and aligned instead of simply creating for attention. That takes patience and confidence.

We’ve also experienced the normal growing pains that come with entrepreneurship; balancing multiple roles, navigating uncertainty, learning boundaries, refining our processes, and figuring things out in real time. As creatives, there’s also the challenge of helping people understand that branding is more than a logo or aesthetic. A huge part of our work is helping brands uncover clarity, direction, and identity before visuals ever come into play.

Another important part of our story is that both of us built businesses independently before coming together, so we each brought lessons from previous experiences into this partnership. Those seasons taught us resilience, adaptability, and how important it is to build something with a strong foundation.

At the same time, every challenge pushed us to grow creatively, spiritually, and professionally. Looking back, the difficult moments are what strengthened our perspective and helped shape the level of intentionality we now bring into every project and every client experience.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Divine Edit is what happens when two creative directors with strong opinions, big vision, and entirely too many Pinterest boards decide branding deserves better. We built this agency because we were tired of seeing brands with beautiful visuals but no real identity behind them. Pretty means nothing if it doesn’t connect.

We specialize in brand strategy, creative direction, campaign concepts, content storytelling, and visual experiences that make people feel something. Think editorial meets intentionality. We love helping brands go from “we have ideas everywhere” to “wait… this finally feels like us.”

A lot of agencies stop at aesthetics. We don’t. We care just as much about the why behind a brand as we do the visuals attached to it. Before we ever start talking colors, websites, or campaigns, we’re asking questions like: What’s the story here? What makes this brand unforgettable? Why should people care? Because when strategy and storytelling are missing, people can feel it, even if they can’t explain it.

We’re probably most known for our ability to take scattered ideas and turn them into cohesive worlds. Not just content. Worlds. The kind of visuals that make people stop scrolling, send screenshots to their friends, and say, “Wait… who did this?”

Our style is elevated, editorial, intentional, and a little bold. We love mixing luxury aesthetics with personality because we believe brands can be polished without feeling robotic. We’re serious about our craft, but not overly serious people. There’s a lot of laughter in our process, a lot of “wait, this would eat,” and a lot of creative intuition paired with strategy.

One thing we’re especially proud of is building a brand that feels authentic to us. The Divine Edit isn’t built around pretending to be the loudest people in the room; it’s built around vision, collaboration, discernment, and creating work that actually leaves an impression. We’ve created an experience where clients feel creatively seen, challenged, inspired, and fully supported.

At the end of the day, we want people to know The Divine Edit is for brands that want more than just “content.” We’re here for the brands that want depth, identity, storytelling, and visuals that actually mean something.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Jamis:
What makes me happy? Romance movies, jazz music, sisterhood, and creating something from nothing. Jazz especially feels like therapy to me, like my soul exhales when I hear it. I love beauty in every form, whether that’s fashion, branding, visuals, or the small details people overlook. My faith and my relationship with Christ keep me grounded, and my community means everything to me. Also, fun fact: I’m a full-time creative director and a part-time emotional support human to my maltipoo, Noki.

Faithe:
What makes me happy is movement, creativity, and community. I used to professionally choreograph, so dance has always been a huge part of who I am. I love creating content, building meaningful spaces for people, staying active, and anything connected to health and wellness. My faith is a major part of my life, and I’m happiest when I’m creating with purpose and surrounded by people I genuinely love. Also, I fully believe “Insecure” is one of the best shows ever made, and yes, my big curly hair has its own personality at this point.
