Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Murray.
Hi leah , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
First off, my parents started a company called Trips Unlimited Inc. back in the 1970s. They guided people into Mexico, Venezuela, and Brazil, primarily for fishing and hunting trips. As life unfolded, their business was hit hard after 9/11 when tourism around the world dramatically slowed. Eventually the company was put on hold, and not long after, my father became ill and passed away. I was only 16 years old, but I always knew that one day I would find a way to reconnect his passion for travel and adventure with my own passion for wellness, community, and movement. I just didn’t know what that would look like yet.
Today, I’ve built a career and multiple businesses centered around creating transformational experiences through movement, travel, and community connection.
I’m Leah Bess Murray, an entrepreneur based out of Corpus Christi, Texas. Since 2012, I’ve been teaching surfing, yoga, and Pilates in both English and Spanish throughout Texas, Panama, and Mexico. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to build and operate several businesses and community-centered events, including the Surf & Yoga Festival, the travel platform InGreenPeace.com, Divine Moon Yoga & Pilates, and the parent company Divine Global People LLC.
My work has always focused on bringing people together through wellness, adventure, and shared experiences. Through retreats, festivals, trainings, and community events, I’ve worked to create spaces that feel collaborative rather than competitive environments where businesses, teachers, practitioners, and communities can grow together while supporting tourism, local connection, and overall well-being.
Currently, I operate Divine Moon Yoga & Pilates, which now has locations in Corpus Christi and Portland, Texas. Through Divine Moon, we offer Pilates, yoga, surf, sound healing, retreats, teacher trainings, and wellness experiences designed to help people reconnect with themselves and others. We currently host retreats throughout Texas, Panama, and Italy, continuing the blend of travel, culture, healing, and adventure that first inspired me through my family’s story decades ago.
Looking back, I realize this journey became a way of honoring both my parents’ adventurous spirit and my own vision for creating meaningful experiences that bring people together across cultures, movement, and wellness.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Death is always a struggle. Loosing those who influenced you. Continuing the motivation to stand tall for what they believed in.
Team members who decided to become your competitor. Overall, accepting the ebb and flow of what life is. There is room for all of us here.
Working with different cultures and attempting at helping communities and at the same time supporting your needs. Facing diversity with ease and patience.

Divine Global People LLC was created from a vision of bringing people together through wellness, movement, travel, education, and community-centered experiences. The company serves as the umbrella brand focused on developing transformational experiences, wellness education programs, retreats, teacher trainings, events, and future wellness-based business opportunities. The overall mission is to create collaborative spaces where practitioners, entrepreneurs, and communities can grow together through movement, healing, culture, and connection.
Divine Moon Yoga & Pilates is the brick-and-mortar wellness studio brand operating under Divine Global People LLC. Divine Moon focuses on creating immersive wellness spaces through Pilates, yoga, surf, sound healing, retreats, and community gatherings. What began as a small wellness concept has continued to grow into multiple studio locations in Corpus Christi and Portland, Texas, while also hosting retreats throughout Texas, Panama, and Italy.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe one of the most important qualities behind my success has been the ability to build genuine connection and community. Throughout my journey, I’ve always focused on creating collaborative environments where people feel welcomed, inspired, and supported rather than competing against one another. Whether through wellness studios, retreats, festivals, or trainings, I’ve learned that meaningful relationships and authentic experiences are what truly create long-term growth.
Adaptability has also played a huge role in my success. Building businesses in wellness, travel, and events requires constant creativity, problem-solving, and the ability to evolve with challenges and opportunities. I’ve had to wear many hats over the years teacher, entrepreneur, event organizer, marketer, and community leader and each experience has helped shape the bigger vision.
Most importantly, I’ve stayed deeply connected to purpose. Everything I create is rooted in helping people reconnect with themselves, experience movement and healing in meaningful ways, and feel part of something bigger than themselves. I think that authenticity is what people connect with most.
