actually started doing hair in my aunt’s garage — in that Dallas heat, with a tiny fan that barely worked and did nothing but blow my hair tools around. I still feel bad for my clients who stuck it out with me in those early days, but I’ll forever appreciate my day-ones for believing in me before anything was glamorous. When COVID hit, I made the leap into a small salon suite — and that’s when everything shifted. By the grace of God My business grew, my confidence grew, and the journey really began. That’s how i built what i have today
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Beyond the usual challenges of slow seasons and balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship, I also had to deal with something that hurt on a deeper level — employees I trusted stealing clients. The betrayal was tough, because I pour so much into the people I bring into my space.
But even that taught me valuable lessons about boundaries, contracts, and protecting my business. Every obstacle, even the painful ones, helped shape the stronger, more structured business I’m building today.

What are your plans for the future?
My future plans revolve around growth and giving back. I want to expand Bomb Hair Studio beyond the chair, bring on a team, and offer more education for both clients and stylists.
