Today we’d like to introduce you to Sagar Nepal.
Hi Sagar, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Nepal and moved to the United States to further my education. It took some time for me to adjust to living in a new country, but once I did, I saw a lot of opportunities. While I was in college, I started my first retail business with some friends. That exposed me to the business world, and I decided to dedicate my life to fulfilling people’s needs. After finishing my master’s degree in biomedical engineering, I teamed up with brilliant minds to launch a stem cell startup, Re-gen Active Lab, here in Irving. Besides, I am working on a social networking startup called DoppelMate, where people can find their birthday twins and make new friends across the world.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s definitely not a smooth road. I face a wide range of challenges almost every day and I expect them too. I see things I am doing as walking in unknown territory. I can only see a few steps ahead, and nothing is predictable. But the goal that I set helps me navigate through obstacles. The best thing about challenges is that I grow with them. I articulate strategies that weren’t there in the beginning and I enjoy the process.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We develop stem cell-based therapeutics for pain and regenerative therapies at Re-gen Active Lab, which are used by many national athletes across the country. In the United States alone, our company serves over a thousand doctors and clinics. They use our product to treat conditions such as osteoarthritis, back pain, knee pain, and joint injury. I am proud that our product is assisting people in living better lives. We also manufacture anti-aging cream based on human stem cells for stressed skin.
We are in the final stage of testing with the DoppelMate App. I realized that around 400 thousand people are born every day. They share the most important day of their lives, but they remain complete strangers. On the other hand, millions of people out there want to make new friends for many reasons. So I wanted to bridge that gap. Since the main feature of DoppelMate is itself an icebreaker, I am confident our platform will make things much easier for users to initiate organic conversation and cultivate meaningful friendships.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I would say, most people in my professional setting don’t know that I am a rapper. I actually have a stage name, it’s PSPN. Rap allows me to express my opinion on things and issues.
