Hi Trilishia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always had a passion and love for early childhood education. After obtaining my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, I taught in the classroom for ten years. After finding out I was pregnant with my oldest, Louis, I didn’t return to work for the school system. I then became a stay-at-home mom to only find out nine months later, I was pregnant again with my youngest, Legend. A few months after Legend was born, boom, the pandemic hit! That is when the Learning Enrichment Binder was born. Raising two children under two isn’t easy, and throw a pandemic in the mix, you have to get it how you fit in. I wanted to create a high-quality resource that you can grab just as quick as kids can grab their iPad.
The Learning Enrichment Binder is interactive and incredibly engaging, which will capture not only a child’s interest but their curiosity, too. When your little ones look at these high-quality pages and actively participate in each hands-on activity throughout these pages, you are creating the building blocks for reading and writing development! Learning Enrichment Binders are fabulous for fine motor development. When your little one is pulling Velcro tabs, matching and tracing their fingers along the pages, you are enhancing fine motor skills such as finger isolation and that all-important pincer grasp witch encourage pre-writing skills! Above all else, I firmly believe that my Learning Enrichment Binders will absolutely help little leaners fall in love with learning. When your children are actively participating in learning, when they engage with the pages, marvel at the things they make happen, and delight at the activities they can engage in by themselves, they are experiencing, first hand, the wonder of learning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle was that these Learning Enrichment Binders are created, laminated, cut to perfection, and velcro’d by hand. The binders took off so fast that it began to take weeks to get the orders out and customers weren’t very patient or very understand of the process. Although, it stated during the checkout process that it will take 14 – business days to be processed and delivered to them.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a certified early childhood specialist (M.Ed), a mama of two beautiful boys, Louis and Legend. I have a big heart for helping kids thrive. I believe that positive, purposeful, and intentional parenting can change the world. What sets me apart from others is that I like to provide tools to encourage and nurture the WHOLE child – their social, emotional, cognitive, academic, and physical development. It’s my mission to share the most effective approaches to fostering early learning skills through play, books, and connection.
My goal is to equip parents with a strong foundation of play-based learning to encourage all future development in their little learners. The first five years of a child’s life is the most important and the most informative. These early years of a child’s life are filled with rapid growth, learning experiences, and positive human relationships. Trill University was created to Teach, Reach, and Inspire Little Learners. My goal is to equip parents with researched-based high-quality resources that were created with the whole child in mind. These resources include play-based and hands-on learning methods that nurture the early stages of child development. My mission is that you will have the tools necessary to thrive and unlock a level of purposeful and positive parenting while allowing your child to enjoy the magic of childhood!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Have Faith and Trust the Process. We all have many aspirations and dreams in our life. But not everyone dares to pursue them as they think their dreams are too big to be true. Things may appear difficult and impossible to achieve, but having faith and doing your work with consistency and persistence is the key. With time things surely will fall into place and everything will be alright.
