Life & Work with Ashley Kaee of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Kaee.

Ashley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m just a country girl from Little Rock, Arkansas who’s always loved being creative. Before I had confidence in singing, I was drawing and painting all the time. As I got older, I started doing pageants, talent shows, and leading praise and worship, and that helped me grow into the artist I am today.

Now I’m blessed to do what I love as a singer, painter, and tattoo artist, and I’m still growing and learning every day!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I honestly wouldn’t change it for anything! Every challenge taught me something and helped me grow into a stronger person and artist. I’ve learned that the setbacks make the comeback even better. My struggles helped build my character, my confidence, and my work ethic, and that’s something nobody can take from me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a creative entrepreneur and artist who works in multiple forms of art and entertainment. I’m a singer, songwriter, painter, tattoo artist, and event curator based in Dallas, Texas. Music has always been at the center of what I do, and I’ve had the opportunity to perform at different venues, lead praise and worship, and create my own original music and live experiences.

I’m also the creator of events like Melody & Motions and Paint & Sing, where I bring people together through music, art, live performances, painting, and community. I love creating spaces where people can relax, connect, and enjoy real creativity and good energy.

Along with music, I’m also a visual artist and tattoo artist. I paint, create custom artwork, and do tattoos through my brand Kaee Inkk. What sets me apart is that I don’t limit myself to one lane. I genuinely love creating, whether it’s through a song, a canvas, a tattoo, or an event experience. I’m most proud of building my career from the ground up and turning all of my passions into something real!

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Absolutely. I’d say treat your passion like a plant. Whatever you water and feed will grow, so keep showing up for it and keep being consistent. One thing I’ve learned is that consistency doesn’t always look like a straight line, sometimes it looks more like waves. There will be highs and lows, busy seasons and slow seasons, but as long as you keep going, you’re still growing!

And even if you’re afraid, do it afraid. Don’t wait until everything feels perfect or until you feel completely ready, because that moment may never come. Believe in yourself, trust your process, and keep going anyway!
