Life & Work with Carmen Vanelly Galindo of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmen Vanelly Galindo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in a Mexican-American family and have always been driven by curiosity, hard work, and a desire to help others. Early in my career, I worked as a dental assistant, where I learned the importance of compassion, attention to detail, and making people feel comfortable during vulnerable moments.

Over time, I realized I wanted a career that combined movement, wellness, and meaningful human connection. That led me to pursue my Pilates certification while continuing to work in fitness and brand marketing. Becoming a Pilates instructor has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made because I get to help people build strength, confidence, and trust in their bodies.

Alongside fitness, I’ve also pursued modeling, which has challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and embrace confidence in a healthy way. Both industries have taught me that true confidence isn’t about perfection—it’s about consistency, resilience, and showing up as your authentic self.

Today, I’m continuing to grow as an instructor, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner. My goal is to inspire others to live healthier, more confident lives while continuing to build a career centered around wellness, community, and personal growth. Every experience I’ve had has shaped who I am today, and I’m excited for what’s next.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I believe those challenges have shaped who I am today. One of the biggest obstacles has been figuring out my career path while balancing work, school, and investing in myself. Transitioning from dental assisting into the modeling and fitness industry meant starting over which was a little intimidating.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently work as a Reformer Pilates instructor while also working in fitness marketing, and I’m also an independent model, which has taught me the entrepreneurial side of building a personal brand. As an independent contractor, I’ve learned how to market myself, build relationships with clients and agencies, manage my own business, and continuously invest in my personal and professional growth.

What I’m most proud of is creating a career centered around health, confidence, and helping others. Becoming a Pilates instructor required dedication and extensive training, while modeling challenged me to develop resilience, professionalism, and confidence in highly competitive environments. Both careers have pushed me to grow in different ways.

I believe what sets me apart is my ability to connect with people while balancing creativity with discipline.
As an entrepreneur, I’m excited to continue growing both careers while expanding my impact through wellness education, modeling, and eventually building my own Pilates and wellness brand..

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters the most to me is honoring God by spreading love, positivity and being of service to others.
